Just bought this phone off e-bay(brand new in box) because I wanted a phone using the GSM network but didn't want a service contract tied to the phone. Now instead of having some reception, I'm dropping calls like crazy. Usually takes a couple of tries to connect. The phone goes from 4 bars to 0 bars in a matter of feet. Cingular customer service just says I live in a spotty area and should turn off the phone for at least 30 seconds every day. Ya right..Are any other carriers using GSM better or should I just go back to my old phone?

Very poor reception in the northern core of the City of Hartford, WI. Reception bounces between 3 different towers for 3g and loves to switch to 1x when it can, and stays there. My mom tries to call my phone in the same room and it just goes to voice mail. She is roaming and I am in 1x. In the same room with both phones from verizon! This is clearly unacceptable for a city of this size. I cannot see 4g being successful here. 3g download test 0.3Mbps upload 2.2Mbps! ? Please fix verizon!

I can see a tower across Hwy. 60 but it is rumored to be a US Cellular Tower. My AT&T phone has 5 bars. The Verizon Blackberry is getting 1 bar, and I get no reception when I move indoors.
