Have had cell svc since 1995- Alltel and whatever it was called prior to that name, and now Verizon. For the past 6 months our reception has gradually gotten worse to the point that we have no service at Appleton Medical Center. Can't call out, can't be called. For years I have reported a dropped call problem which happens when I cross Wege Rd in the town of Center, either at Meade St. or Hwy. 47. Nothing's been done - I suspect I'm switching towers at that point to the one by Black Creek. Lots of echoing. We live in the town of Ellington and service has become iffy at best. Bought new phones but that didn't help. Anyone know of a good carrier that works both in Appleton and in rural area north of Appleton? Very very disappointed in Verizon and their lack of response to this service problem. Appears they don't mind losing long term bill paying customers.

Usually 3 bars of reception with almost always perfect call quality. Occasionaly will miss a call and will find out from a voicemail message... Overall coverage isn't the greatest when you go more than 20 miles away from major roads and cities though. Previously was with Alltel and had fairly good call quality with excellent coverage, nearly all of state.
