Is there anyone else out there that had Cingular before AT&T bought them back? I started out with AT&T in 2004 and had great reception for 3 months and then Cingular took over and my reception totally dissappeared at work and home Downtown Hudson, yet they still wanted me to pay my bill after I called them four times complaining about getting no service. Can anyone else back me up? They are still after me...

If I stand outside of the building, I get one bar. But, like others have mentioned, the bars mean nothing, really.

Since moving to Cingular GSM my phone life has been poor at best. The GSM network is just plain crappy. I never had so many dropped calls and reception issues with ATT wireless. I work in the Minneapolis / St Paul netro and travel all over. If you get up on a hill and stay real still you may complete a conversation. The number of bars means nothing is my experience. This is grounds for a full scale investigation. ATT I miss you.

After using Nokia- Samsung - then Motorola, I have found the bar phone from Nokia works the best. T-Mobile have been very nice in letting me try these phones. I have been with them for over 10 years and all I have to do is call if I have a problem and it is taken care of.

When outside, a good solid two to three bars, routinely. Occasionally more, but rarely. Inside any sort of structure - 0 to 1 bars, usually closer to the 0 mark.

Last fall, I visited a home farm business that had some free firewood to give away. Fortunately, have noticed on my T-Mobile phone that two bars of six were showing, and had mentioned that to him. He stated that at one time in the past, T-Mobile had provided excellent coverage for the Glenwood City area, but no more. Had contacted T-Mobile on the matter several times, only once did I get a response. No response to the remark made, only referral to the generality of the coverage maps provided at the time. T-Mobile stated in a recent newsletter that it is continuing to expand on its network. (I tend to wander where the expansion is.)
