Good coverage except in my HOME! Cannot hear anyone. Told AT&T I was afraid I would not be able to dial 911 - they said move outside or DRIVE to another location! Most AT&T reps are rude, arrogant and condescending. Will have to eat ETF and get my landline back. Thinking of AT&T? Don't do it, you'll be sorry.

Constantly have problems with reception in the house. The phone always shows searching or may have 1 bar, if lucky. I've opened support cases with AT&T and they claim new towers are expected to be activated in Sept. Oct. 2010. I am hopeful that this is true and that the service will become much more reliable. My wife has a Motorola Karma, same thing with her... Constant interruptions with services through AT&T. They've attempted to register our phones to different towers in the area, and this was unsuccessful as the services are if anything worse. It would be nice if AT&T would get their stuff together and live up to their advertisements with 'more bars in more places'.

At and t has none or little service in my area. I usually have to dial a number 3 or 4 times to get through. When I am able to make a phone connection, most of the time the phone cuts in and out and I usually can't understand the person on the other end. I constantly complain to At and T but the service remains the same - extremely poor. Consumer reports 2010 rates At and T as one of the worse for signal reception. At and T has an indoor attenaa, but you have to get their home landline phone service to plug it in to a landline. ( what a money scam). I also read other reviews which rate other cell providers in the area as poor reception. I guess that Kenosha WI. is a place where cell phone providers put the cheap phone towers in that don't work.

Poor, Poor reception. Dropped calls abound, static, fading in and out-cannot make calls from within the home, sometimes can make from outdoors, but spotty and no area seems to be definite in terms of good coverage. All told, AT and T stinks, and seems to have gotten worse since Cingular. We will terminate service when contract is up.

I get dropped calls so much anywhere I go a say "crap" people aske, "cingular". I reply "yep". Most of everyone I know is curently a carrier of Cingular (AT&T), we all have different phones. All brands of phones drop all around town. Sometime it takes days to get my messages. Five bars my butt. They really should stop bragging about the whole " no dropped call" thing, we have all let them know theres problems with thier service, they don't seem to care. I guess when you're the cheapest phone plan out there suckers will continue to pay.

Was formerly AT&T, now Cingular. Service is pathetic at best. I have better reception and reliablity in non-developed third world countries than I do in my own home. The only thing keeping me with Cingular is the international plan. My wife has US cellular, and it is great.

To anyone still under AT&T contract, if you want to get rid of your contract, migrate over to cingular. Once you activate your new phones (which will be just as bad or worse than the old one you had) you have 30 days to cancel your new service if you don't like it. You get out of your old contract because you are signing onto a new contract, but the new contract has a 30 day satisfaction quarentee. Cingular has the worst customer service I have ever delt with and their coverage in Wisconsin and Northern Illinois is terrible. I dropped a call with customer service while sitting still.

Cingular has a very week signal in allendale on Kenosha's lakefront. But intersection of 71st street and 3 rd Ave. is the BLACK HOLE! from 3 bars to NOTHING! The more we complain, the lip service we get! We need a system engineer down here!

On the highway, reception is good. At my house, the reception drops to two bars. I called Cingular to see why this was so and the service rep simply said you live an one of those "bad" areas. I travel frequently and every other place I have been gets outstanding reception. From the hills of Hot Springs, AR to Panama City, FL and good reception in the Norfolk area. Just my home that is lacking.

Generally, while out and about in the kenosha area, I have good reception, 3 / 4 full bars. However, between walking from my car to just inside the sliding glass doors on my apartment, I drop to 1-2 bars, often no reception in my apartment. I also regularly drop reception / calls crossing the Illinois / Wisconsin border while driving on Sheridan Rd.

Have ATT (now cingular) GSM phones. Coverage south of 52nd street at lake front is very very poor. I have been told that the old ATT network will eventually go away and be all Cingular - My Friends that are on the Cingular network have no better reception in this area. If they do not increase coveage soon, I would not recomend them in this area.

Cingular, Verizon, T-Mobile, and US Cellular all have fine service here. Sprint's coverage is non-existant. I have never tested Nextel.

Yesterday my phone displayed Cingular as my carrier. Reception was horrible. Today my phone displays Cingualr Wireless as my carrier and I have 5 full bars. Data and voice work perfectly now, even inside of the house. Anyone else notice this?
