I have two different phones (a Motorola and samsung), right in La Crosse and I routinely now drop calls when I only used to on occasion. Sometimes I get zero bars at my house, sometimes 2-3. Of course, the calls I drop are usually important and it makes me look like an idiot. Never had this issue with Alltel, or US Cellular, I think it's time to look elsewhere. I read someone else say that Verizon stopped using a tower in Rushford, that may be a contributor. Also I read that if you hit *228 and attempt to update the towers it can actually work against you as Verizon has less towers now in certain places than it did so when you update towers it can actually take them away instead of add them. I'm not a genius at how cell towers work, so this could be wrong info - all I know is my phones used to work OK, and now they are both working mostly crappy.

No issues. Coverage is solid in metro area.

Awesome reception, 4 and 5 bars all the time. I have never missed a call, or had a dropped call, and 3g is always on and FAST! Verizon is very fast and reliable.

Generally good, since there is no T-Mobile tower here in La Crosse though, if the weather is bad, sometimes I get only one bar. Also, T-Mobile uses other towers (mostly Einstein shows up on my phone) and when I head out past Coon Valley, it drops the call to switch towers every time. All in all, ok reception.

Sprint coverage is terrible on parts of French Island near the La Crosse Airport. I have to force my phone to roam to get coverage which usually means that I am on Alltel towers. My wife has Alltel and gets good coverage.

Superb coverage in entire greater La Crosse region - from Arcadia to Viroqua. No static or dropped calls.

I have never had another carrier so I don't have anythign to compare to. However, I get good to moderate coverage.

I used to get good reception at home, but Sprint has switched towers or something and now it's pretty bad. Barely 1 bar by the airport, 1 or 2 by the mall, good 5 bar signal downtown.

We get no service now, after having good service for a year. Have tried using the 'roaming only' setting but still no go. Sprint just says 'too bad'. I have to say too tho that reception in everyother place seems to be great, even in Canada.

everywhere IN la crosse and surrounding is good, except where I work, on SMITH VALLEY, NO BARS at all, kinda sux so ill havta switch to alltel. other than that spint is good here

My reception is horrible. I'm always in Einstein Mobile's range, and I call 411 and get Einstein Mobil's Directory assistance... .I can't walk while I'm on my phone or my call will drop, it's almost that bad.

My calls are always being dropped! I have to stand on a chair by my window to get any reception at all. And when I am able to find reception and make a call, the call usually drops within the first minute. Very frustrating!

I am a T-Mobile user that is roaming on the Einstein PCS network while at school. I am continuously dropping calls in the evening and often cannot re-connect due to cellular traffic issues. I was told by Einstein PCS that call volume has doubled in the past year. Current plans are trermed "High Priority" for installing either a permenant or temporary cell tower to handle the increased volume. Einstein will not provide any dates / time frame to this so do not know if it is something that I can expect to see in the next week, month, year. Service is OK during days and weekends. I purchased a calling card for those periods when I cannot use my cell phone. I'm not sure if I can wait this out. T-Mobile will let me out of current contract if I request so in writing due to this service issue.

Service seems good, but looks are ever so deceiving. You are on a partner network, so when the network gets busy, don't plan on using your phone. I often don't get text messages / voicemail for days and friends are frequently told that my number is invalid when they attempt to call my phone. It often takes 10 -15 tries before a call will successfully go through, and there is no service in any buildings or outside the dense population (including Onalaska!). I have lived on / around campus for 5 years and have had 4 different phones (from various manufactorers) and all have had similar issues. If you plan on living in the area GO WITH A DIFFERENT CARRIER but if you don't leave metropolises then T-Mobile is the carrier for you.

La Crosse and environs is a disaster area - a GIANT BLACK HOLE - for T-Mobile Customers. Get some other pay-as-you-go or other company if you spend any amount of time in this area. Not even Virgin Mobile works here - and they are supposed to provide service via Sprint PCS's network!

Great reception outside, usually. Nothing in buildings, not even a bar.
