I never have any issues with Verizon. I live on the west side and work all around Madison, Monona, Verona and Fitchburg. I have never had any issues with reception, service or internet. Phone battery sucks but other than that I like verizon.

I don't understand all these negative Sprint coverage comments. I have great reception in Madison. It's when I get out of Madison that I have to use someone else's phone. I don't have internet access though.

I never lose reception in my apartment, neighborhood, or even downtown for that matter. With the exception of a few times when I have been in buildings that tend to block reception for anyone.

I've always had perfect reception with US Cellular, and have NEVER dropped a call. I've been using their service for about 3 years now. I had Cingular prior and the reception was horrible! Going north of Madison / Sun Prairie was scary because you never knew when you'd get any reception at all. Since switching to US Cellular, I've traveled to Chicago, Minneapolis, Sacramento (and around CA... San Fran, Santa Cruz, etc) as well as all throughout Wisconsin. I've never lost a call, and never NOT had reception. The best moment for me was when I was in St. Mary's Hospital. I was inside the brick building, IN the elevator, MOVING down floors, and continued to talk on the phone. It never cut out at all, and looking at my phone I had FULL BARS! I'm a US Cellular customer for life!

Service in madison is normally 3-3.5g with tmobile, anywhere north it drops to 2-2.5g. Seems to drop signal completely in various spots along 151 going north, especially while driving through sun prairie.

I have also never had a dropped call on US Cellular. They are mostly in the midwest, so you are roaming if you leave this general region, but you get reception EVERYWHERE. The phone selections aren't great and their prices aren't as competitive, but if you need consistent reception, they're the company for you.

I have been with U.S. Cellular for the past ten years, and I find my signal strength and reception excellent. My sister has Verizon, and lives in Minnesota, when she visits, she only has one bar on the west side near High Point, while I have five! I also believe they have the best customer service, which is important to me when an issue arrises!

I have US Cellular, husband with Sprint and now AT&T. I have always had better reception in Madison and across the country than him. I swear by US Cellular and would never consider changing.

Sprint works very well here. I even get 2 bars in the basement, under a reinforced concrete 1st floor. Wife has Verizon and often borrows my phone because Vz is dropping calls. I have had Sprint for over 3 years and have been very satisfied. I only use the phone for voice and occasional text messages, so I don't know about data service.

I have had Sprint for 4 years now, and the service could not be better. what Sprint does not tell you, they have a free roaming anywhere in america. combind the sprint, Verizon and us cellular coverage, and you will have service any where you go with no extra charges! I found a really good deal on my phone at the cell phone kiosk sams club. not only did they give me a $40 credit to my bill, but they dont deal with rebates when buying a phone there!
