No 3G reception issues with Verizon. Would be nice to have 4G though.

I get fine voice reception in the whole Manitowoc area but it really needs to be upgraded to 3G data. Manitowoc is not that small of an area and the EDGE data speed is way too slow.

New Verizon towers are coming up. Read this in an article. MILWAUKEE, Dec. 5 / PRNewswire / -- Verizon Wireless has activated two new cell sites in Manitowoc County that expand network coverage, enabling more customers to use their wireless phones concurrently to make calls; send and receive email and text, picture and video messages; and download games and ringtones while enjoying clearer reception and fewer dropped calls. The new cell sites, activated in Pilsen and Two Rivers, expand Verizon Wireless' voice and data network in the following areas: -- From County Rd.N south to County Rd.J, west to New Franken Rd...

Reception by the Manitowoc Airport is not too good. Other places in the Manitowoc city seems good though.

I live just south of manty and may recetion depends on were I stand in my house or out in my yard if I'm on the phone and take a step I will loose signal and have to walk around till I find a spot again. also on my trips to Keil I loose reception in Keil but get it back for 5 miles on my trip home only to loose it till almost home. Called ATT and they sent me new sim card becouse They said I was in a Good reception zone and thoght that was the problem. I think the Problem is with there service. Put up with this for 3 years and switching carriers next month either to us cellular or cellcome I have freinds that have both and they get great sevice when I get none

Was a VZW customer for years; then switched to US Cell in MKE. Switched back to accomodate business partner. Moved to Manitowoc [north side] and reception is AWFUL! Weirdly, though it is almost consistently 3 / 4 of 4 bar service about 3.5 blks from home, out in the open. Live in heavily wooded area which must obstruct signal strength / quality. Been wondering if a booster might help?!

Excellent service, only place I lose reception is a dead zone that everyone I talk to loses signal there. On other notes, the phone is glitchy and freezes up. Would go with Sprint as a carrier again. Have had service for almost 2 years now.

I've always had trouble when on Hwy. S between Whitelaw and 151. Also in Collins rarely able to catch a tower. Aside from many more very dead zones. I like to dub Cingular / AT and T as the all over BUT where you need it network. Major advantage is roll over minutes.

I bought the Pocket PC over the net, to browse the web and to make calls. I purchased two plans, one for data and one for minutes back in 2002. As of today, I still think they don't provide data coverage north of Port Washington, and I am roaming on another network when I make calls that far north. I onced stayed in Chicago with friends of mine, and I had better luck with coverage, but it seemed that I could only get four bars in my bed.

At times I get good service and then I walk 2 paces to the left or right then the call is dropped. Bad service in any type of building especially metal ones, talk to a rep and they did not have any reason. When it was AT&T service was great everywhere, and I don't have crap for service, in manty, appleton, on the road to green bay and perhaps yes ALL of North East Wisconsin. Changing as soon as plan is up!

Switched carriers from Cingular to Verizon, glad I did as I went from not able to make or receive calls at home with Cingular to perfect reception with Verizon. Also, I travel between Sheboygan and Green Bay on a regular basis and I have not dropped a call with Verizon in the 3 weeks I have been with them. Dropped calls with Cingular were a normal occurrence when I had their service. One thing I have noticed with my phone is that even when I show no bars on my signal strength, my calls still have perfect clarity.

Excellent reception all over Manitowoc. Would actually like to change carriers to one with nicer (cheaper) phones, but the reception with these guys is so good (and that's really what the phone is for) that I just can't justify it. Gotta give credit where credit is due.
