My phone has pretty good reception everywhere- except where I need it most. I live by Wal-Mart in between two towers and the second I place a call, bars drop down to none. It's great everywhere else, I just don't appreciate having to walk around in my backyard to get reception.

We have very sporadic service here with ATT. We moved here recently from another state. If we do have bars and try calling someone, the signal drops before the call connects. I get pretty good coverage when in town, but it is not reliable. ATT told me there is basically no service here and I should contact the relocation department to get a waiver for Early Termination Fee (EFT) of our contract which we have a little over a year left on. I am researching what type of service I should get here in Marshfield to replace it. Most of the time we have no bars, right now I have 5, go figure.

I get 1 bar on digital roam in my first level home office. Reception is terrible anywhere southwest of town. It is excellent outside the hospital, but very poor inside the building. Smartphone data use is frustratingly unreliable in much of the Marshfield area. Given this and Sprint's customer service reputation, their "Everything plan" is not worth it for local use despite some terrific products.

Absolutely no reception in Marshfield. I called the cell phone company and they told me they don't currently have service here. Not sure why they sell the phones there, then. He told me I could go out to Palmetto to maybe get service. That obviously doesn't help when I'm running errands, etc. Poor service and reception.

All of Marshfield sucks with Alltel except for the south east side.

I go into analog service here and cannot place and recieve calls. I know people with Sprint and US Cellular that have no problem making calls here. I wish Alltel would build a new tower so service was available here. If you live in this area don't go with Alltel. I would suggest US Cellular.

Don't get reception with Alltel around the Lindsey, WI area or anywhere just Southwest of Marshfield, WI. I hear a rumor that US Cellular is getting a new tower in this area. I hope so.

Cellular One is the best I've tried for cellular phones in the majority of Wisconsin. True, there is not one single "best" cell phone plan for our good-ol' state of WI, but now having the National Plan for Cell One covers most of the state. There are blackouts, especially between Marshfield and Wisconsin Rapids, but not nearly as many as other companies. On an average, I get at least 3-4 bars, even in my basement. I travel quite a bit and this is practically the only phone company that will get reception in NW Wisconsin. My vote goes to the Cell One National plan.

Alltel recently put up a new tower in the southeastern part of town which greatly improved reception in the area. Before, calling was almost impossible as your call would be dropped or would not go through. Now I'm getting a solid four bars in my basement where I used to go into analog service. Great network improvement, Alltel, now the only place I might get a little trouble with service is just north of Marshfield on Hwy. 97.

I started on Sprint with new fair and flexible with roaming included. Reception is fair in most places around town. I love not having to worry about roaming charges anywhere in the nation. Coverage seems compable to my Alltel Motorola that I replaced.
