I have us cellular for 4 years now and it is the best in central wisconsin. I go everwhere and have reception unless I am in the midle of nowhere. I never get charged for roaming if I do I take the bill to northside computers and they fix it right up. Alot of my friend have other carriers like Alltel and Sprint but usally dont have the reception of me. The only problem I have with uscellular is that they are not that big. they need to have better coverage all around the us.

Tower right in town, in fact, the only company I know of that has a tower here is Alltel. Also, we stayed at Mogasheen Resort and I was the only one who was able to make and recieve calls. I could get 2 bars with the antenna up and everyone else had no signal at all. Alltel has incredible coverage.

I do not have US Cellular, but a lot of my friends do and I know the service is great. Four or five bars all around town, cheap minutes, and good phones. Great customer service. Even in surrounding towns like Hewitt and Spencer they get fairly good reception. US Cellular is absolutely the best choice for a cellular provider in Wisconsin, or anywhere in the Midwest.

In the house I just moved into, the reception is terrible, however, I called Sprint and told them that and they sent me an airrave (cell phone extender) for free. Now I have perfect service at home. Throughout Marshfield and the surrounding area I have great service. I work in Abbotsford and have reception the entire drive up hwy 13, something that can't be said for other carriers. Overall, the service with Sprint has been awesome over the last 8 years and their customer service has always been exceptional.

Works well in most of Marshfield with their roaming partner Bug Tussel Wireless, or something like CDTNVMH1 or something like that. Great EDGE (2G) coverage throughout most of town and haven't had a dropped call yet. Even get signal in my parents basement. This was not the case a few years ago. Great improvement. Some of the north end of town connects to Airfire Mobile which gets good signal too, but is only GPRS (G) but my emails, Facebook, and Pandora still work. All good for sure!

Reception was very hit and miss when we had Sprint; with Verizon it's much better now.

Near the main clinic and fig. ave. building getting 3 to 5 bars of edge service on an iPhone 3GS. FYI There is no 3G service north of Madison for either AT&T or T-Mobile.

Southeastern Marshfield, Marshfield, WI 54449 Sat Apr 01, 2006

Cellular One is the best I've tried for cellular phones in the majority of Wisconsin. True, there is not one single "best" cell phone plan for our good-ol' state of WI, but now having the National Plan for Cell One covers most of the state. There are blackouts, especially between Marshfield and Wisconsin Rapids, but not nearly as many as other companies. On an average, I get at least 3-4 bars, even in my basement. I travel quite a bit and this is practically the only phone company that will get reception in NW Wisconsin. My vote goes to the Cell One National plan.

Alltel recently put up a new tower in the southeastern part of town which greatly improved reception in the area. Before, calling was almost impossible as your call would be dropped or would not go through. Now I'm getting a solid four bars in my basement where I used to go into analog service. Great network improvement, Alltel, now the only place I might get a little trouble with service is just north of Marshfield on Hwy. 97.

I started on Sprint with new fair and flexible with roaming included. Reception is fair in most places around town. I love not having to worry about roaming charges anywhere in the nation. Coverage seems compable to my Alltel Motorola that I replaced.
