I switched to Verizon a couple months ago. The data on my Galaxy S5 is FAST. I get 4G service almost everywhere, but even the occasional 3G service is fast. The call quality is phenomenal. My only complaint is the number of dropped calls when inside buildings. Where I work on North Ave, in buildings Downtown, the Wal-Mart on Capital, and even sometimes on the UWM campus, my calls will drop when I walk into a larger building. My phone always looses service in elevators. It's frustrating. I guess the rural Wisconsin service makes up for urban Milwaukee service; however, if I never left Milwaukee I would try to find a better provider. Was this review helpful to you?
Reception has gotten much worse. Been with Verizon for 8 years. Every call drops unless I'm hanging my head out my upstairs window. Truly believe as the Medical Center gets bigger I won't be able to use my cell phone at home. Extremely frustrating. Was this review helpful to you?
Multiple dropped calls, zero signal... . Horrible reception! Was this review helpful to you?
The service sucks in the area. I get between 1-2 bars in the house and the if I'm lucky. The phone is slow and with the new contract with At&T the service has gotten even slower. Was this review helpful to you?
Sprint was honestly not that bad. Everywhere I went, I almost always got all my bars. Service NEVER dropped inside buildings and elevators, which was very nice. Text messages always came in on time. The call quality, on the other hand, was an issue. Often I would have to hang up the phone because people couldn't understand me, which was weird because I would have all my bars. Once I redialed, the call went through perfectly. Connecting to the internet was not always reliable, again weird because I always had 4G LTE Coverage. I think the network was frequently overloaded. I have since switched to Verizion for better nationwide coverage and call quality. However, if you never leave the city, Sprint is a fair choice. Was this review helpful to you?
Help! Just move to this area. Verizon show a little grey "cloud" indicating my very small area has poor connectivity. I get one dot, maybe two if lucky. Willing to sell me box for $200! Really????? To fix their problem. Ive been a customer for 12 years. thoughts? Ideas???Was this review helpful to you?
I have had Sprint for many years and it seems that all the services have their shortcomings. My experience with customer service has been both good and bad. When I go to the store on Silver Spring and Port Washington, the people working there are virtually useless. Actually, it has been my experience that most of the people at any of the stores are useless. I have had some success on the phone although it takes patience and tact to get anything done. It isn't easy. However... here's a true story about Sprint customer service. I would very often drop calls in my apartment which is just north of downtown. An area that should have magnificent service. I called Sprint and explained that I literally had to lean against a window to not lose calls. I had heard about something called an Airvave which is basically an antenna connected to a router to send better signals to a phone. When I asked about it, since no one at Sprint mentioned it's existence, they admitted that it existed. Then they had the audacity to tell me I could get it for only $259.00. I thought I was talking to someone from the Comedy Channel. $259???? Are you kidding? After discussing it with a supervisor, I could miraculously get it for only $129.00. I thanked the person helping me profusely and then told her that it's only $129 too much. I explained that we had a contract and they were supposed to provide a signal which they weren't doing... in the middle of a large city. I did my part and payed the bills for service. Now it was their turn to live up to their commitment. I calmly told the person that I was speaking with to send the Airwave to me for free. Amazingly, after explaining the logic of our contract, I was sent the Airwave for free. And, it really, really works. So that's good. Otherwise, the internet connection truly sucks. The service is so-so. And it isn't cheap. I certainly like to hear the bogus stories they tell when you ask when 4G will be in Milwaukee. They must keep a full time staff to write preposterous tales about the "coming 4G and LTE". I always drop calls when I'm not near a window at stores. But I will say that coverage areas outside are pretty good. Again... outside. So, why do I keep Sprint? I guess it's a case of why trade a headache for a stomach ache. Verizon, US Cellular, AT&T, Sprint... they all seem to suck. Was this review helpful to you?
Signal strength is only 1-2 bars in my home. It is 3 bars in my attic. USCellular refuses to send a tech unless they get a half dozen complaints in one area. Frequent dropped calls. Some calls are marginal inside or outside! They claim smartphones have weak antennas. Flip phone was great, always 4=5 bars They only get 3 bars in all of the stores. Away from my home area it is excellent. Sound quality is the best. Was this review helpful to you?
Have had it since it was Cingular -- just goes down hill. Service in Village of Wauwatosa non-existent or slow much of the time. Customer service at AT&T stinks. Reason I've stayed -- price for multiple lines. Was this review helpful to you?
