my company switch us from us cell to cigular in may 2005. intially they were terrible, drop calls poor or no reciption in a major city.We complained and they didn't bill us for 3 months I think calls were dropped while car were in motion due to soft wear problems with merger with AT&T sysytem. soft wear up grades to phone helped and more towers have improved some of the problems. Now we rarely drop calls and reception has improved to 2-3 bars from 1.

Just switched from AT&T which Cingular was really not supporting. Had hat plan primarily for 7 pm night plan as we have numerous contacts in Florida. The Cingular coverage was ok (not great) but customer service was the pitts. When phone died I had to look on the secondar market as Cingular would not sell me a phone to work on AT&T network. Have just switched to Sprint because of their plan for nights and weekends starting at 7. In two days I have had more dropped calls than in a month with ATT / Cingular. No coverage at all in basement garage with Sprint but always had coverage with Cingular. am currently in 15 day "Look / See" period with Sprint and am seriosly thinking of going back to Cingular despite my seriusly dislike of their customer relations. I selected an LG phone because of the good luck I had with my ATT LG phone. Don't care for this phone.

I've never had so much trouble with a phone in 6 years. Both my roommate and I get awful reception which fades in and out by the minute, regardless of if you dance around the apartment or sit stone cold still. I jump from 0-3 bars and have had more dropped calls than 5 / hour, on average. If I run outside, I can get anywhere from 0-4 bars, but regardless the calls get dropped and there are times when I can't make or receive calls for up to 5 minutes. Usually I can hear the other person but they stop talking to me because they can't hear me beyond the static. The price was right for the plan, but the time spent repeating myself was definitely not worth the extra mintues.

No reception up North in Rome, WI; near Wisconsin Rapids. They tell you it will work but it never does even with GPS. Their Service is okay but you spend so much time on the phone. the phones break easily. The two year contract sucks. I'm thinking of buying a Go Phone or cancell all together.

I switched from US Cellular to T-Mobile at the beginning of April 2006. Overall, my call quality and reception have been outstanding. I think that only as recent as 12-18 months ago, GSM reception was "fair" - but things have improved. I use my phone a lot- and in almost a month I have only had one dropped call, which I can live with. And I'm not even certain the drop was on my end of the conversation... . My US Cellular call quality was not so great, and often full of static. My primary issue with the newer GSM phones and service is buildings- the signal just does not penetrate like CDMA did. Anyhow, last week we drove from Milwaukee to Gulf Shores, Alabama (Gulf Coast), and my phone worked every time I needed it along the way. Yes, we were driving along a big interstate. T-Mobile does a really good job at making their signals work along major routes. And even in Gulf Shores, which is a dinky area along the beach, I could still make good calls. I was very impressed. With my US Cellular phone and service, half the time I was on the highway I would not have been able to make a call. Anyway, T-Mobile as a carrier gets my vote for certain. Their pricing is quite aggressive, good options, and great call quality - at least in the "middle" part of the US.

Cingular sucks. I get no reception unless I am in my office of all places, I have tons of dropped calls, I generally have to dial numbers twice to get through, and I get cross over calls at least once a month. It doesn't help that they sold me perhaps the worst cell phone every made and won't let me upgrade it. I am not eligible yet according to my contract and apparently the warrently of the phone expired yesterday so they won't replace the piece of crap either. They said that they would cancel my contract for me if I wanted, and issue a new contract so that I could change phones, but all fees would apply. After an horrible experience with their customer service I am going to a different provider.

The GSM coverage that Cingular say they have is mostly unuseable. Of course the justification is that they have been busy combining with AT&T - which is the same story. My guess is that they will get the GSM service to an acceptable level about the same time they start to sell G3! Meanwhile customers will suffer very poor service, while US Cellular keeps their superior coverage and service by having MORE TOWERS!

Get great reception throughout Milwaukee area until I get inside my house. Then we get rotten reception. Lots of fun to get a cell phone call then have to run outside in the winter to talk. T-mobile customer service is awful. Their reps are dumb as rocks, they can't get billing issues straight, and they are often rude. I'm looking for a new carrier.

I get excellent reception almost everywhere (especially at work near I43 and Brown Deer--Sprint was awful but Cingular is great, even inside the bowels of the building) except on the first floor of my house, and sometimes no bars at all in my driveway. A dead spot?

Verizon's coverage on this side of town is somewhat schizo -- occasionally calls get dropped. Sometimes I end up on an Extended Network and have to use the area code to dial a local call. Overall, however, I've been pleased with the service and this phone.

I always get at least 4 bars, never a dropped call in my neighborhood area and most of the Milwaukee area. There is a section of highway when heading south on 45 right around Goodhope Rd. where I will have dropped calls about 50% of the time. Over all I have been pleased with T-Mobile service. I will say that there is zero reception in the most Northern parts of Wisconsin. I travel alot to Mellen, Cable, and other far Northern cities and have never had reception. I have been told by people at T-Mobile that there should be service in those areas, but there isn't. Maybe this will change in the future. As I said, T-Mobile has been a good service provider and I would recommend it.
