No reception. Could not use my phone on 10 / 4 / 2009 and could not use my wireless 3G air card. No reception at all. Had to physically get in my car and drive 5 miles away from downtown central before either would work.
I've been happy with my Sprint reception and prices. Their customer service is absolutely terrible though, but I just push through that in order to have a plan that is about 2 / 3 the price of any other carrier. I don't know about the outskirts of Milwaukee or the surrounding areas much, but downtown I almost never lose reception
I used to get reception on my razr---but only a bar or two. My fiance gets decent reception on his smartphone, and I can't get a single bar on my new one. Going back to the store tomorrow.
Is anyone else having problems with Sprint near the lower east side? every so often (monthly?) we get "signal faded, drop call" after about 40 seconds. SO FRUSTRATING! I have tried turning the phone off, taking the battery out, and visited the Sprint store many times to update our software. And it is not our apartment because it works except for these times. It is so frustating. If you are having problems or know of the problem, please let me know!
T-Mobile has very little to no reception in this area of town. We have two lines of service and two different phones and for the most part I cannot make phone calls in my home and need to run outside to be able to hold a call. The signal strenght fluctuates constantly and most of my incoming calls don't even ring on our two lines they just go directly to voicemail because. T-Mobile has been the most unhelpful -- insisting that they provide adequate service in the area. BTW, when you make a service complaint all they do is just look it up on their little map to see if they "provide service" where you live and / or if there are any major intteruptions. Since they don't actually come out and try and make a phone call from where you are having issues they will always tell you that they are providing satisfactory service and not offer to help further.
US CEllular is the best, especially in the Milwaukee area. I have no problems with calls ever dropping and I have been a customer since 1996. I also took a trip to NC and my phone was not roaming and the signal was still perfect.
