AT&T pretty much lied to me just so I would do an upgrade and stay with them. 3G in january is what I heard... now, I hear august? I pay $220 a month for 2 iphones, what is the point if you can barely use the data plan because it is so dang slow? Im about ready to change to verizon. Pretty sure AT&T makes enough money off of their customers to get 3G..its crazy.

Extremely frustrated-no reception in or near my home-was NOT a problem with Alltel, just since Verizon took it over. What's worse is the crap I have to put up with to try and get this fixed-Excuses up the wazzoo, false promises and then to be told that unless their techs authorize an early out of the contract that I would inccur penalties if I attempt to drop them and go to anther provider--where the hell is consumer protection let alone a company who does what's RIGHT. appears to me to be a failure on their part to provide the service I am contarcted for making ANY contract null and void. Very Pissed.

I have 2 bars on a good day but drops calls if you move the phone. All Cell companies appear to have poor service East of Rhinelander. AT&T has same problems. Allltel seemed to have better coverage before they were bought out by Verison.

Throughout the city I lose reception all the time. I can be talking just fine with full bars and suddenly I get a dropped call and look that it has no bars. A second later I will have full bars and call again. Absolutely no service where I work just 3 miles outside of the city to the East on Lake Thompson (Holiday Acres Resort). Reception on S. Shore Dr.is none existant to very spotty. Reception on Hwy. 8 west is very spotty past Tomahawk WI. I am very disappointed with this service. When it was Alltel reception was great. Now it sucks. Hey Verizon! Can you hear me now?

I was not a cheap a$$ when I bought my phone so I get reception.

Had problems with phone after 6 months, sent in for warranty,after three weeks with of course they said phone was submersed in liquid, then phone has lived in the cab of semi since new and has never seen liquid of any kind. Way to stand behind what you sell. I am done with cellone.

Reception went from bad to worse in last few months customer service went down the tubes, Used to get great reception at home now loses signal drops calls. Switching to Alltel they seem to do things much better than cellone / att

On Lake Mildred - single bar every once in awhile. Hwy. 8 and parts of 47 (closer to Rhinelander) I get good reception. In Rhinelander - Never had a problem - good reception. Minoqua (even on the lake) I get good reception.

I do agree with previous posts. I can make a call anywhere and nobody else that I know of has the coverage around here that Alltel has. Even outside of Rhinelander where there's not many people I don't have a problem. I have a lot of family and relatives that live around the city but the coverage is good everywhere.

I cannot connect to the Nextel service at all in Rhinelander.

Horrible, horrible. I have been with Sprint for awhile (w / several different phones) and NONE of them work in N. Wisconsin. They will work if your in the city of Rhinelander, but travel just a few miles, and they're completely dead. I have a friend who uses Alltel, and her phone always works. Occasionally, I can get reception while IN MINOCQUA- but it's extremely poor and really isn't worth trying to call someone.

Traveling E across N Wisconsin, I had no reception from about 20 mi N of Rice Lake to Rhinelander. I have no reception in Rhinelander at all.

Hwy. 47 a major road in northern WI and terrible, terrible reception. Told me 4 years ago they were up grading with more towers. What a joke this is not the only bad area for them in northern WI.

Good reception up here; no other carrier has this good of service in this area; satisfied

when I would go to Rhinelander or Eagleriver I would not get more then 2 bars most phones will get reception from other towers but by the time that you could get reception you were roaming and charged more. they recently put up a new tower close to my house by eagle river I do not see any difference on my phone which uses other towers.
