Hate the phone; constantly losing charge on the battery. ie: charged it all night; had it on for my drive to work; talked on it for only one call for about 3 or 4 mins; turned it off the remainder of my work day; for my drive home the battery was nearly dead and did die completely during a 10 minute call (only the 2nd call all day). My husband is a truck driver and has an identical phone and has the same problem; can never keep it charged and it doesn't seem to matter if it's even turned on or not (his previous Sony we could talk to each other nonstop for 3 hours straight before he got a low battery!); we are definitely looking for new phones! However, the service with Alltel is great! Great reception everywhere and my husband drives thru 48 states and has more reception than any other service he has tried (Sprint PCS, Cingular...). We are in a remote town and couldn't get service with Sprint PCS here but Alltel has 5 bars everywhere, in town, out of town, in the house, outside, in the car, in the store...And the best part is Alltel allows us to alter our plan anytime without any consequences; Sprint PCS and most of the other services require you to renew for another 2 year contract EVERY time you want to make a change to your plan (even if you just signed on within the last 30 days) which is ridiculous. Our calls home count as mobile to mobile minutes (unlimited) and don't cost us anything additional, nor do we have to wait for the night or weekend minutes to kick in (free and unlimited anytime, anyday). As well, our family plan, we use 2 phones on the same bill and it's still $30.00 cheaper than Sprint PCS with just one phone and one user. Altho we are getting new phones, we'll stay with Alltel!

Overall reception in Richland Center is good to very good. Nokia is generally known as an excellent reception phone. I use Alltel service. In this entire SW Wisconsin area reception is (and always will be) very spotty because of topography challenges.

Verizon little or no signal, constant calls dropped from LaCrosse to Richland Center, then from Richland center to Middleton on US Hwy. 14 Hwy. 130 from Lone Rock to Dodgeville. Most of the time my cell says "out of network" or "extended network" I routinely get messages a day late, little or no reception at my house. Verizon says they don't guarentee you can get reception in your home. I have complained for months. This company is horrible! Going back to US Cellular as soon as my contract is up. They won't let me out of my contract without a buyout!
