AT&T has no service / no reception from just south of Lakewood at Maiden Lake Rd, and all the way north on Hwy. 32 through Lakewood and Townsend to just south of the casino in Carter.

Needed a phone to use in the Townsend,wis area. Had a Motorola V170 gsm and the reception was zero ot horrible. Talked to a Tracfone tech and got an LG3280 cdma which uses a lot of different carriers. What a difference! It works anywhere in the state. For my purposes, cdma does the job. Your milege may vary.

Needed a phone to use in the Townsend, Wis area. Had a Motorola V170 GSM and the reception was zero or horrible! Talked to a Tracfone tech and got the Lg3280 CDMA. what a difference! Works everywhere in the state - all of the time. This has been my experience... your mileage may vary!

No matter how much you hate them, Verizon will give the best coverage in the northern area. Many complications are with the phone. A friend with US Cellular keeps up well with signal strenght so they are another worthy option. Again read all reviews on phones because it does matter
