T-Mobile 0 Out of 5 Phone Model: Dash and others	T-Mobile used to share a tower and even if you have a contract with them, you will be lucky to get any phone service or any decent customer service related to NO phone service. Very frustrating. Used to be you could get one or two bars and the SW side of the island, even in tree coverage was ok... enough to keep from complaining loudly. Now there's pretty much NO coverage. In short, for anyone staying on the Island for any amount of time DON'T bother bringing your T-Mobile phone. Just kindly keep paying on your monthly contract without complaining...

Verizon 4 Out of 5 Phone Model: Motorola Droid 2	Verizon worked all over the island except for inside some buildings and in the forest by School House Beach. Every once in a while it wold drop to 1G from 3G, but really not that unusual with my phone... a quick reset of the radio (on to airplane mode and off again) almost always brought 3G back. Rock Island was more spotty for data, but nearly always worked for voice. I'm surprised there is no tower for ANYONE in a central location on Washington Island... a single tower with CDMA and GSM towers would take care of Verizon, Sprint, US Cellular, ATT, T-mobile... Someone is really missing a goldmine here.

AT&T 1 Out of 5 Phone Model: Apple iPhone 4	I have been an AT&T (previously Cingular) customer for many years. I have also been going to Washington Island for many years. AT&T coverage on the southwest corner of the island gets its signal from a tower near Ellison Bay, but once you head inland away from the ferry dock the signal drops off to nothing quickly. Occasionally you can find a couple of high spots on the island where you can get a signal, but they are very hit-or-miss. One spot inland is near the Lutheran Church's Stavkirke.

AT&T 0 Out of 5 Phone Model: Apple iPhone 3G	No AT&T coverage anywhere inland from southwest corner of island. Closest towers are between Sister Bay and Ellison Bay.
