i am going to be living in the dorms this year and have absolutely no service with AT&T up there.

Sometimes I get 5 bars, but when the phone switches to the 3G network I get none.

In house 1 to two bars and drops call after couple of minutes or so. 3 bars outside. Supposedly more towers going up in next 3 months.

The Nokia is far better than the Motorollas (2 of them). But service, specifically in this area, is terrible. No service at my home inside on the Motorollas, 1 bar on the Nokia. No service on any phone near the high school. Poor / drop service on Hwy. 20 toward East Troy, and on Hwy. 11 between Burlington and Elkhorn. Drop calls frequently on Hwy. 36 under the high power lines. Calls OK east of I-94, or near Milwaukee and Chicago. But overall avoid this carrier. Calls are often dropped when being switched to an alternate carrier (usually T-Mobile as roaming).

I have had Verizon for over 3 years and love the reception I get all over, except inside some buildings. The only place in southeast Wisconsin that I've had a problem with is Hwy. 67 through the Kettle Moraine area north of Eagle and south of I-94. Otherwise, I am very happy with Verizon. I had tried US Cellular before and did not get good reception at all.

Cingular reception in this area is very poor. Drop many calls. Cannot use the phone reliably in the house. Had the same problem with Sprint. Also have the MPx220. I have been happy with Cingular at work, no problems, Sprint dropped calls often. Overall, we are hoping the Cingular service will improve with the additional of ATT. Their coverage in WI and nationality gets better and better. We are going to try some more phones to see if things improve. We will keep you updated.
