I don't care how many bars I have, the service is horrible. I drop calls every single day. My with has a Pantech and I have an LG. We both have issues. She has actually just stopped using her phone completely, since it is so annoying. I make calls that never go through and the dropped calls are all throughout Waukesha and Milwaukee. Going back to US Cell. Previously had them for 4 years. Awesome service and never dropped a call. I need my phone to work when I expect it to work. Therefore, I will be paying $200 in penalties, just to cancel with AT&T and move back to US Cell. It depends what you want. US Cell has been known to not have the coolest phones, but if you prefer great service and reliability then go with US Cell.

i think the people complaining about Sprint need to stop complaining about the service and think about replacing their phones. a new phone comes out at least once a month. there could be a phone that comes out tomorrow, so you go buy it the next day but they have already come out with something new and updated. 9 times out of 10, people who THINK they have the most current phone / device with the most current upgrades actually do NOT. there is nothing wrong with Sprint service.

i have yet to have a single problem with my service. I own my own business and travel a lot between southern wisconsin and illinois and I have never had a single dropped call or static. I sometimes fluctuate between 2 bars and full signal, but all of my calls / data transfers / messages / email are all the same.

US Cellular blows every other carrier out of the water in the Milwaukee market in terms of reception. My friends with GSM carriers such Cingular end up using my cell phone to make calls when I'm hanging around them. Just look at a tower map of the Waukesha area. My parents, on USCC as well, are ditching their landline phone. US Cellular is bad if you travel to northern Wisconsin or into states outside of the northern Illinois, Wisconsin, or Iowa areas. That's the reason they have great coverage locally; they focus on tower density in a regional area and depend on other carriers nationwide- I'm an amateur radio operator, but you don't need to be one to understand that concept. CDMA phones are usually way behind the times, however, and honestly I believe it's a near certainty that GSM will far outlive if not replace CDMA. CDMA uses BREW, not JAVA, so you can't use all the cool applets for games and such available to GSM users.

Cingular has great coverage in my home neighborhood and, in my experience, everywhere else I go in Waukesha.

The reception in this area has just recently improved! For the first six months of my T-Mobile contract I'd drop calls all the time, given I was able to make them in the first place. I'd call all the time, sent emails, and spoke to local reps and got what I thought was the run around, "we are constantly upgrading our network and are aware of problems in your area." I'm sure I wasn't the only person contacting customer care. Around June sometime, I was attempting to carry a conversation when it dropped. I'd been used to this and took it as same ol, same ol. Until I looked at my phone and to my joy, showed up: BAR 1, BAR 2, BAR 3, :), BAR 4, and finally BAR 5! Yippie T-Mobile wasn't (and isn't) like the rest of them, they listen, they resolve! I was so happy to finally be able to use my service. Since then I've had nothing but good service. Even got my parents to come to T-Mobile and (they) love it! I'm going to be getting the NOKIA 6101 because they pull in the best signal from the towers! GO T-Mobile!
