Altell is awesome, we travel all over the United States and 95% of the time we have coverage. We went to Canada, middle of nowhere, ALTell said we would not have coverage. To our surprise we did. We have friends and family who have other wireless carries, they will complain they don't have coverage and they are amazed that we do. We have had other carries in the past and most of them sucked. We are very happy with Alltel.

Alltel is great for the Waupaca area. As far as call being dropped in stores well that depends on the Brand of phone you have and not Alltel. My husband and I both have different phones, his is a Motorolla, it gets better reception then my Samsung but when I purchased the phones the Salesman explained what brands of phones would get better reception. We travel to Northern Wisconsin often and the Motorola and LG phones receive better reception then the Samsung in all areas so far. Overall we have been happy with Alltel and in the past we had US Cellular and Sprint. It is worth the time to research phones and find a Salesmen who knows someting about the phones when purchasing one, it solves a lot of reception / dropped calls issues.

i have had my phone for a year and I have never had a droped call. I get good reception everywere.

had good reception all over here. I am from iowa and didn't know if I would have a good signel. my parents with another carrier had poor reception.

us cellular is by far the one for you if you allways want dropped calls and no servace. if you ask me I think you all should just quit your complaning and just switch to ALLTEL. trust me.

Was with US Cellular for years but when moved to Waupaca reception was bad. Dropped our calls or went right to VM. Then was with Alltel till they sold to ELEMENT (worst customer service on the planet, would't let my worst enemy do business with them!) Now with Verizon, good reception inside and out, very satisfied! Verizon didn't want to sell me their phones at first as they are not to compete with Element but got around that issue.

We had no complaints with our service nation-wide until our Alltel system was merged with Verizon. We immediately began having some, but not all, calls diverted directly to voice mail. My phone does not ring until it signals a missed call. My phone was replaced by Motorola, but new phone is the same--MOST calls go directly to voice mail. People I call are also complaining about call clarity, which never happened before. Verizon needs to do a better job here.
