reception is crap to poor throughout whitewater. One would think for being a college town with business majors that there would be decent cell reception out here. My phone (att) my friends phone (sprint) and my other friends phone (verizon) all suck wind out here.

In Whitewater WI, in the whole city all you get is tops 3 bars and in some buildings you lose a signal all the time and going outside doesn't help and it really basically is horrible in Whitewater, don't get it yet if you live there but, hopefully they will put up a tower there, and right now don't be expected to be impressed you won't.

Why is it the only company that has perfect coverage in the Whitewater ares is not longer available. Darn you Sprint for taking over Nextel. Sprint phoned dont work here and they no longer have hybred phones. To make things worse if you do settle for Sprint because they will tell you they use the Nextel towers, the higher technology you get for your phone (ie Smartphone) the worse you signal will be.

Work for Nextel as field tech, know the coverage inside and out in WI. Whitewater has decent Nextel coverage around the Water Tower on Cravath. Anything in the new NW subdivision will genneraly not do well, due to the terrian and hills between us and the WT. The coverage for Sprint is generally the same

Reception is alright outside my building. Live in Indian Village and Ill get 1 bar half the time inside, making a call inside my apt is pointless to impossible. Get 3-5 bars out in the industrial park. Ground level of Center of the Arts on campus is at best like my apt. Wouldnt recommend if you like talking inside, and especially if you dont like the cold during winter ;-)

The old phones work better in my building than the Samsumg Gem does. Seems anyone with an old phone gets good signal but when you upgrade you don't get the same signal strength!
