We get no reception in this area with any of our AT&T phones. We go weekly to the lake and can not make / receive calls or texts when we are there. It is frustrating for friends / family who want to visit us there. The only company that has service in the area is US Cellular, but we still have over a year left on our contracts. Honestly I like AT&T - this is the ONLY area where we have 0 bars... sometimes refreshing to get away and not be bothered with technology!

I've had recent problems with Verizon in this area. first Im in the middle of a contract war between alltell and element mobile. I sometimes bounce off of us cellular towers which helps but sometimes about 98% of the time I cannot call or use mobile web that I pay for. I wouldnt recommend any one to use this carrier. When I called customer service they said there hands are tied and cannot utilize anything in this area to help me because they are not allowed by law in this certain 8 county listing in my area. Moved here and visited here was fine. But now living in this area is a totally different area. you have to talk to a supervisor in order to get your early termination fee voided to do something and change.

Service wasn't too bad before Alltel switched to Verizon, now we drop 80% if not more of our calls and half of the time our phone doesn't ring. I highly suggest not going with Verizon in this area.
