Rarely, if ever, have a problem with reception in or outside our home. No dropped calls from here. I do update my phone for new towers periodically.

Perfect Recption here! If you live in Wisconsin Rapids Alltel is the way to go, i've tried Sprint and have gotten very little service in this town with them.

Good service- full reception all over the center of town. On the outskirts of town I get only about 2 bars, but I can still call it still sounds great. I've had no problem with customer service either. My external display on my old phone broke, I brought it in to the W. Rapids Alltel Store and they gave me a brand new phone of the same model for no cost.

Alltel is a horrible company. No service at home or the surrounding area though it's "a sure thing". Spontaneous "hidden charges" appear on the bill. Customer service is HORRIBLE. Every billing cycle I have to call them to have them remove charges that aren't supposed to be there; they try and sneak them in. Definitely recommend going with a different company...

Never get AT&T for this area. They blow, most dorpped calls ever. I get reception at home but not at my friends house or even at wal-mart. I use to be with US Cellular back in 2002 they were ok. Haven't tried Alltel but my friend told me that they were ok. The best server i've had so far was verizon. It worked basically everywhere where I went except in the booneys. Not a single dropped call like at&t. It really comes down to where you live and where you travel too. Not one specific company will give you perfect reception everywhere. And maybe you just live too far out in the booneys to get any reception of any sort. If thats the case stick to a regular phone.

In town, while visitiing, I get great reception. Normally 4-5 bars. However, when driving between Rapids and Plainfield, I alway loose signal from between the Hwy. 73 / Nekoosa turn off to within about a mile of the Hwy. 73 / I39 intersection. Along I39 and also in town, the signal is great.

Just signed with Sprit after finally dumping Element and that was like jumping from the fire into the frying pan. We have zero reception at our house. Since Element can't seem to service their customers, I think our only other option is US Cellular - disappointing :(
