Last Month my family and I switched to Cellular One GSM from Cellular One Digital. Cellular One digital worked fine; however, Cellular One GSM has very poor reception in the Clarksburg area. Phone calls often fail in mid stream. You may not want to get Cellular One GSM Service in the Clarksburg area.

GSM is now finnally active for Cellular One customer down and along the Flatwoods, Sutton areas. I clalled Eastbrooke to ask them when it would be up and running and they said that it was just turned on Friday and that it is now running. This is also going to include service in Buckhannon going all of the way to Elkins. This is great news for CellularOne customers as it has been what we've been waiting for!

Well everyone I don't usually comment on these types of sites, but I thought I would convey some very helpful information. There is a company in Clarksburg, WV that sells Verizon (Nationwide Wireless), but they also sell an affiliate company. The other company they sell has Nationwide Coverage. It is No Contract, No Credit Check, and No Activation Fee. You get Unlimited Talk, Text, and Data for $50 a month that includes all taxes and fees! I'm not kidding! I bought a New Motorola Q9c for $75. It's too good to be true!

Well to comment on the guy that says "Verizon will dominate within a year". He's obviously wrong. I am an agent located in Nutter Fort selling both Verizon and Ntelos. Ntelos continues to dominate the area and does at the time provide much better coverage than Verizon. This isn't even debatable. In the future 2011+ maybe, but not in the present. Ntelos is the only carrier worth considering.

VZW launched EVDO service as of the morning of 12 / 22 / 2011 in the Clarksburg / Bridgeport area. Three towers were turned on with more to come in the next few weeks.

Call quality in Stonewood and other parts of Harrison County has been failing for over a month now. As for data speeds on Verizon's blazing 1XRTT connection, which is also pathetic at best.Verizon has installed 4G service in Charleston as of July but they continue to ignore North Central WV. If reliable service is what your looking for, US Cellular has better call quality and and excellent 3G service all over the state.

I have noticed the same issue with 3G on my phone in the area. Is Verizon going to launch 3G in Clarksburg / Bridgeport and if so what is taking so long.

I agree with the previous Verizon posts get moving with enhancements. Your commercials are like wow and your largest 3G network claims are great, but not in Clarksburg WV. Put some of that capital money to work and add 3G coverage to the 26301 area code.

Pay attention Verizon this is ridiculous US cellular, Intellos, and Sprint all have EVDO in the Clarksburg WV area. AT&T will be launching EVDO soon and you are going to start loosing what few customers you have gained in this area. People in this area want services and value and US Cellular has both. At least give customers a timeline for this area, the folks that I know that use Verizon are not happy.
