T-Mobile works fine here, but roams on AT&T's network. After being here for 2 years as a student, T-Mobile is now TERMINATING my service in 2 weeks without warning or prior notice for "high percentage of roaming off the T-Mobile network". I've been with T-Mobile for 15 years and this is how they take care of their customers. Very Sad!

Was traveling from Pittsburgh to Morgantown for business. The moment I entered in Morgantown, I lost signal and my phone remained a brick until I got out of Morgantown after four days. I need to visit Morgantown for next 6 months on a weekly basis. Seriously considering to get a no contract prepaid phone to use while in Morgantown.

I had Us cellular and like most, I lost my service reception with them up here where I live. I switched to AT&T, and I have had no problems. They are cheaper, I have took this phone clear up to Ohio and have not yet lost any service. The funny thing about it I am a prepaid... .you can't beat that!

Been horrible ever since I've been here. My husband can't receive text and picture messages altho we pay for the service. I had purchased a Verizon netbook less than two months before my move to Morgantown. Didn't know I was moving here when I purchased it. Verizon won't allow me to get out of the contract even tho they have no reception here. Had to go to Pennsylvania to activate replaced phone. I am very disappointed as I've been with Verizon since 2006 and they are not at all cooperative in helping me to avoid early termination fees. Very pissed... little phone service, no data service, and Verizon still expects me to be bound to a two-year contract or pay $700 in early termination fees.

No problems with reception when visiting here. I was in fear of signal problems but lucked out. Verizon is horrible. All my friends had to use my phone the entire time since VZW roams. Overall, AT&T isn't too bad.

We have had Sprint service (Blackberry Curve 8330) for one year. Service in the Cheat Lake Morgantown area very poor - Weak signal and dropped calls. Also while traveling poor to no signal in Columbus Oh and Virginia Beach area. Prior to Sprint had phone service with US Cellular and no complaints with reception (did not have data plan with US Cellular)

Well everyone I don't usually comment on these types of sites, but I thought I would convey some very helpful information. There is a company in Clarksburg, WV that sells Verizon (Nationwide Wireless), but they also sell an affiliate company. The other company they sell has Nationwide Coverage. It is No Contract, No Credit Check, and No Activation Fee. You get Unlimited Talk, Text, and Data for $50 a month that includes all taxes and fees! I'm not kidding! I bought a New Motorola Q9c for $75. It's too good to be true!

Mgtn Down Rt 50 To Ripley / As Far South As Charleston, Morgantown, WV 26505 Sun Feb 08, 2009

Been with Alltel for 5 years now mainly because they were the only carrier with somewhat reliable coverage in the more rural areas, like where I used to live near Ripley. I've been in Mgtn now for 3 years and the service has always been great. Probably less than 3 dropped calls a year. Texting and internet usage around morgantown has been good. Pix messages I seem to always have trouble with, but I have a feeling this is a problem with my blackberry or whoever I am sending the pix message to. Rt 50, which is almost a complete dead zone with AT&T, has a surprisingly large amount of coverage through alltel. There are dead zones, but they generally are only for a couple miles.

To help the guy out with TMobile issue. Check out NTELOS in Westover. Best plans, coverage locally and nationally and dirt cheap! Also the only carrier that has EVDO data in the area.

My ATT service has been terrible. I have never dropped so many calls as I have since using ATT here. Some 10 minute calls can be dropped 5 or 6 times. If I go to the top of a mountain I can get a higher number of bars and then as long as I do not move I can make a call but that is about the only way.

Just Moved here from. Our Sprint service has been pretty good, and it may be because we were advised years ago, If you want good reception, the secret is Ask the carrier which phone is the best (find a knowledgable salesman). Sanyo is the Answer for Sprint. I travel from Atlanta to Dallas, DC Pittsburg, etc. Very rarely do I drop a call. But Now I want a Blackberry and I hear its reception is lacking, esp. around Cheat Lake Area and I-68. If you want excellent reception we all need to leave the hills. Formerly used Cingular, and Suncom, now Sprint for 5 yrs. I remain.

I live on the Grafton Rd. and we have 5 phone lines, I am the only one with a Razr phone and in one spot in our house I can get 2 bars of reception. We had to get a landline because none of the other phones get reception. When I call Cell one all they do is keep putting in their Trouble Tickets or so they say they do. Tehy tell me they can't understand why I don't have reception there are 4 towers within my vicinity. 1 by Browns Chapel and 1 by Ridgedale the other 2 towers are in places I dont know of, I live by the Dairy Mart and supossedly 1 tower is to cover a 30 mile radius, SO what is the problem? They told me they are going to put up another tower midway very soon. I think everybody should be calling in and complaining so they will do it NOW!
