We have had Sprint service (Blackberry Curve 8330) for one year. Service in the Cheat Lake Morgantown area very poor - Weak signal and dropped calls. Also while traveling poor to no signal in Columbus Oh and Virginia Beach area. Prior to Sprint had phone service with US Cellular and no complaints with reception (did not have data plan with US Cellular)

Just Moved here from. Our Sprint service has been pretty good, and it may be because we were advised years ago, If you want good reception, the secret is Ask the carrier which phone is the best (find a knowledgable salesman). Sanyo is the Answer for Sprint. I travel from Atlanta to Dallas, DC Pittsburg, etc. Very rarely do I drop a call. But Now I want a Blackberry and I hear its reception is lacking, esp. around Cheat Lake Area and I-68. If you want excellent reception we all need to leave the hills. Formerly used Cingular, and Suncom, now Sprint for 5 yrs. I remain.

Sprint coverage around WV University is good. Heading East on I-68 from Morgantown is a differnt story as the coverage oin some places is non-existant.

If you have trouble in West Virginia with Sprint Nextel service complaining to Sprint will do nothing. Sprint does not own the network in Motown. This is why you don't see EVDO. Ntelos owns the network and cannot afford EVDO network upgrades.

We have had Sprint for two years. Basically, we are very happy. We will probalby renew in October with Spring again for two years. Service in Morgantown, Clarksburg, Charleston, Huntington is good. Outside of those areas service is spotty at best. Service goes a short way into PA then no service until you get almost to Pittsburgh, PA.

Other than customer service that seldomly speaks English, let alone are located within this country, I would highly recommend Sprint. I was always a little weary about such a big company, since US Cellular and Cellular One are the dominant carriers around here, but not only here. Wherever I travel I have consistent service as well as no surprises with overage's on my bill.

Excellent reception with the latest PRL update. Service can be quirky though... the phone drops calls every once in a while, even with 4-5 bars of signal strength. Not a major problem, but an annoyance nonetheless.
