Since the Greenbanks Radio Telescope is on the east side, and thus a radio blackout zone, nobody will get coverage at Silver Creek resort or off the peak of the mountain at Snowshoe. 4 stars because, while not perfect, it is the best anyone can legally do. Spotty and hit-or-miss coverage at the top of Snowshoe mountain. Don't hold your breath in Snowshoe Village, but around the Widowmaker lift you'll get coverage. Strong reception on the west side, especially around the Cupp Run slope. The west side is opposite Greenbanks. Also strong reception at the entrance to Snowshoe and coverage sometimes during the drive up. The further away you get from Cupp Run, the weaker the signal. (For a real treat, try driving using your radio near Greenbanks not too far away. Total static.)

The West Ridge side, the one NOT facing the Green Banks radio telescope, has good reception. The other side, where most of the ski slopes are, is a radio blackout zone so nobody upon no one can or will have cell phone coverage. The US Government won't allow it. You can also generally get reception at the top of the mountain.

Spotty GSM coverage. Southwestern part of the resort, the side with Cupp Runn, is perfect signal. Northeastern / Silver Creek part of the resort is nothing. Seems to be good coverage if you have a clear view to the west.
