Still waiting for cell reception. Cingular keeps saying its any day now for coverage to start in central west virginia. Cell One says the SIMS chips have been traded with Cingular and they are testing the system. Some Cingular stores say service is about to start and other stores are saying end of the year. I wish Cell One and Cingular would get off their rears and get this service started. I have a feeling its more a power struggle with these companies for service. Its unfortunate they are waiting around because there any MANY people complaining about service issues in the various central WV counties. Just get it started... its only going to help the business for each company. I am tired of getting the run around and will be switching to a competitor very soon if nothing is done.

Cingular GSM service sucks from I-79 Exit 91 Roanoke, WV down to I-79 Exit 25, from Weston to Buckhannon and over to Elkins, and finally down Rt. 19 to Fayetteville, WV. All Cellular One (Easterbrooke) towers are loaded with GSM and service actually worked from March 25 to March 30... excellent. However, went off again on March 30. Cell One says they were testing service and would not be back up till late april. According to Cell One as of yesterday, they are still not planning to activate the GSM service on these towers for another 3-4 weeks depending on the roaming negotiations with Cingular. Something needs to happen because I am going to switch if my Cingular service does not activate. I wish I knew who was screwing around at Cingular so I could tell them to get their crap straight and get this service activated. By the way, the phone sucks as well but when I tried to return it, I missed the deadline by 2 days and CIngular would not replace it... .great customer service, huh? Any updates would be appreciated!

his is one of many areas where Nextel get NO reception. I have had Nextel for almost 2 years and my contract is up and I am switching. If you are traveling in WV this is not a good service!

Is NEXTEL ever coming to Central West Virginia - had coverage in Morgantown and spottie in Clarksburg but nothing in Sutton. I see alot of new towers going up on I79... who is putting service on them???

HUGE dead spot starting a little north of Clendenin exit to the US19 exit. I get anything from 1 bar to NO SERVICE.
