I do agree with the other poster for the college. Alltel signal is fantastic at the college and everwhere around it. 5 of 5 bars on my phone all over the area. The signal is much stronger than a couple of my friends that use Cingular and have some real trouble. But the voice quality has also been great in my experience. Perhaps if you're roaming you don't get as good of a connection but the calls are crystal clear and just as good as a landline really.

Very strong signal via the local Alltel tower, but mediocre voice quality. Static on the first syllable of every word, etc. Verizon doesn't actually offer service here, so it's dependent upon the quality of the extended network connection through Alltel.
