No problems with Alltel all over Cheyenne. Have had Alltel for over a year now. Had AT&T for 9 years (2000-2009) while living in Denver and once I moved to Cheyenne AT&T told me they had "No Towers In The Entire State Of Wyoming" and since I would be roaming with Verizon the entire time and costing AT&T too much money, they easily let me out of my contract. Now that AT&T will be taking over (who knows when that will happen... the Alltel employees in the store have no idea when it will happen either) we'll have to see when they will be migrating everyone over to their GSM system. We have a USB internet card because they have unlimited internet for $20 a month and it works pretty well... .I get DSL speeds for Dial Up price. I travel to Denver at least twice a month and as soon as I drive pretty close to Carr, CO the signal says roaming... but since I have a national plan I don't care as my bill never changes. The pros are they have a calling circle and I have 15 numbers I can call unlimited... and also a one year contract. The only con I have is that they are a little more money than what I used to pay for AT&T.

Switch to Verizon because AT&T ended my service due to roaming. AT&T has NO native service out west! Verizon works great here! I even get 3G data!

Great Coverage all over wyoming

So far 2 times this year, there has been 0 service. A tower went down a few months back in Colorado that affected some Cheyenne residents as well. Now, for the past hour, there is again no service. No calling in or out and no texting in or out. Wish I was back in the city where this NEVER happened to me.

The reception on my cellular one phone is just bad. I get cut off during conversations. No service in several areas just around town. Are there any new towers that I can update my cell phone to.

Horrible with all my T-Mobile phone and no higer than g coverage waste of a data plan

AT&T in Cheyenne sucks! Dropped calls and terrible internet service. All for a $100 a month!

Do not switch to AT&T! You will be setting yourself up for an Early Termination Fee. I've talked to their data techs, even filed a report with BBB. AT&T could care less. With so many problems with their voice and data network, I won't even try go into all the details. Consumers are bailing out faster then a bilage pump on the Titanic for a reason.

Calls are not connecting! Calls are dropping, Can't connect to voice mail, Can't call our other line. Reception bars will be at 5 when I make the call and drop to 1 then call ends. Physically went in to talk to AT&T store... they don't have a clue. I am ranting angry. For $110. bucks a month for 2 lines... and no reasonable service.

The reception is horrible and I am about to just give up and go with another service after being with AT&T for about 10 years... ... .

April 22nd and June 7th there was no service from Verizon. Today, June 8th, I am still having problems. I'm thinking about switching carriers. This is getting old. 2010 and we have this many service problems? It has even made the local newspaper Front Page both times!

My whole family has Union Wireless service. We have traveled from Canada to Mexico, from Boise to East Wyoming. We use it while hunting in the mountains, playing at Flaming Gorge, and 4-wheeling in the wyo desert. No roaming fees and our friends that have Alltel and Verizon, ask if they can use our phones, because their's don't have reception in many of the places we go.

One of many spots in wyoming where Verizon has no service because of the a--holes in nebraska cellular services. it is a minor road in wyoming that is well traveled in the summer time for folks heading to south dakota (gambling spots and sturgis bike rally). And nebraska roaming service, you will pay with your left arm for a couple minute call ! getting really anxious for Verizon to get all the paper work signed and done to aquire Alltel cellular and see if that makes a difference (believing the worst and saying NOT). Wish one of the executives would break down in that area and need to use their phone to no avail -- in the middle of winter -- during a snow storm. Bet there would be a tower in that place within 6 months ! Just my 2 cents !
