I've used Verizon (digital only) for 15 months, since April 2006, and have never dropped a call, and have always had all bars all over town with 2 different phones: Motorola E815 and most recently LG VX8600. A couple times when not using my phone, I've noticed dropped service, but the duration is short and frequency is low. Excellent service for a cell network. I haven't had a land line since Nov. 2004.

I have been a Verizon customer for years. They have excellent customer service. I just wish they'd figure out a way to get some good PDA phones. The HTC Touch Pro is junk along with the others they have. My i760 is a good phone but it's outdated and I have nothing to choose from with Verizon. Very good company that needs to step it up with the PDA stuff!

So sure I roam a bit from time to time, but with free roaming who cares, and I can always hear everyone just fine. But the most I have ever had a dropped call was in my kitchen, which there no one has service. Honestly everyone else I know has a crappy time with every service up here. Even my roomate who also has an iPhone with AT&T has crappy service. I have never had a problem. Maybe I am lucky, who knows

I ported my number over from Verizon. Alltel seems to have a problem with keeping that working and then I get voicemail signals in my area but as soon as I get out of my area I can't make a call until I call Alltel and get it straightened out, again. I,m going back to Verizon first chance I get. Everything worked well everywhere I went in the USA.

I've never had any problems with Alltel as far as coverage goes. However they can't seem to get my plan right, and I always have wierd little charges that they are having to reverse because they can't explain what they are or why they are on my bill. Which sucks. But if we are just rating coverage I'd say it's pretty decent where I live.

Cellular One used to have the best service in Laramie, but since Alltel took them over both signal strengh and quality of customer service have really deteriorated. When you call Alltel, they do everything they can to keep you from getting to a human being and then do everything they can NOT to be helpful. You can't even call their local store; you get transferred to a national call center and can't speak to the local salespeople who sold you your service or your phone! Verizon now has the best coverage in town. And while Verizon's customer service is still pretty bad, Alltel has managed to become much worse. We are dropping our remaining Alltel phone and going entirely with Verizon.

On a recent business trip to Larimie I was disturbed by how bad cell phone coverage is in Wyoming. Although my cell phone worked most of the time with reduced signal strength, the AT&T air card in my lap top was virtually useless. I had a great deal of difficulty sending and receiving my Emails. There is a good possibility that I will be relocating to Casper WY. and after reading that all the carriers have crap service in Wyoming I am wondering how a person can chose a service when in fact none of them perform as well as they should. With the huge energy revenues in that state and all the industries that support it I would hope that one of these cell companies would pull their head out and get some acceptable service state wide. I get better service when I travel to Alaska. I guess these cell carrier executives don't look at this website but they need to because the billions of dollars they charge the public for such an overall low level of quality nation wide is nothing short of criminal.

when I signed up with Verizon service was great (2years agoe) but now it sucks even with an external ant. I can never receive incoming calls, and I have to place calles 2 or 3 times, how can they reduce coverage like that? o well I will keep searching, I miss my old bag phone on the anolog system it worked like being at home, and with a 12volt battery OOO them were the days.

No reception. I missed all calls and no 3G. Lucky me that I id not get stranded anywhere. Nightmare to have AT&T in Laramie, WY. The local people say Verizon is the best network and AT&T sucks. I love AT&T and I expect a better service from them as I am relocating to Laramie, WY very soon.
