No signal in downrown Talladega. No signal from Talladega to Vincent via Logan Martin Dam. Spotty signal in downtown Vincent. Spotty signal along County 83.
Occasionally we get reception, but only until we move 1 millimeter. High Point Mtn apparently blocks Verizon signal, which tower I assume is on Monte Sano. Had no luck with T Mobile or Sprint here, and Cingular got bad before we switched 2 yrs ago to Verizon. Totally dissatisfied with all of them. May go naked for awhile (i.e. no cell phone).
T-Mobile has run out of local numbers in the Prattville / Montgomery area! NO IDEA how they could be so stupid (it really should not come as a surprise that you can only fit 9999 phone numbers into a given prefix) but they've done it. You literally have to wait for someone to move or die in order to get a local number.
4 Miles South of 280 Near Camp Hill, Camp Hill, AL 36850

We live in a rural area south of Camp Hill and we get no cell phone reception at all at our house. We've tried AllTel (2 different phones), Cingular, and AT&T, and none of them has a signal that reaches our place. Our only solution has been to install an antenna in the attic and run a cable through the ceiling to a desk in the kitchen. Then, if we plug the "wireless" phone into the antenna connection, we get maybe one or two bars. Usually the calls get dropped even then. A colleague calls this "the cost of rurality."
Reception improves the closer you get to I-20. Once you pass by a large hill on the south side of H-77 where a large cell tower is, just before entering Talladega city you will loose all connectivity. My wife has a Nokia phone with the same results. We both had Analog Roming signal indications but no access once we were in Talladega.
Very little reception, none at my residence on Old F'ville road, unless you climb onto the roof, and I think its great there. Maybe cut a hole in ceiling for easier access to roof, or just dont use it at all.

I rarely, if ever, get good reception at home. Certain spots in certain rooms will get me one bar at best. I cannot answer my phone except in these places or else Sprint will drop the call. Outside is no better. I get bad service all over Mountain Brook, honestly, and several places in the Birmingham area.

Had a good signal until they "fixed" the tower back in March. No signal since. You can see the tower-unobstructed-just air between you and the tower and no signal. Cingular does not seem to care.
