CO ROAD 47 / HWY 14 WEST intersection, Prattville, AL 36067
Fri Oct 10, 2008
I use my cell phone every day driving to and from work. I drop calls several times a week, all on the west side of Montgomery. Every day driving home from work, I lose my signal completely once I turn off Hwy. 14 on to Co. Rd.47 (Golson Road). We can barely get a decent enough signal at home to make and receive calls. I would switch carriers in a minute if I didn't have 4 lines on my plan, each with a service contract. AT&T leaves a lot to be desired in my part of the state.
Leroy Stevens Rd. / Cottage Hill intersection, Mobile, AL 36695

Iphone 3G AND Motorola Z9 (so I know it's not just the iPhone-2 of us switched and we're both going back) -no reception on Leroy Stevens from Goldmine to Grelot, Sollie from Cottage Hill to Three Notch, I-10 from McDonald exit to the MS State Line, Biloxi line past Gautier, dead spot on Schillingers past Howells Ferry, hardly any reception on Dauphin Island public beach, bad over near Loxley... switching back to Alltel before my 30 days is up... I'll miss the iPhone, but can't live with AT&T coverage.
I subscribed to Verizon on their assurance that my area has cell phone coverage. Bull! Even though I'm 1 / 3 of the way up the mountain in Killingsworth Cove, my new LG enV got zero coverage in most parts of my house and very poor coverage in a couple of spots. (Additional note: T Mobile is completely unavailable out here).
From the intersection of Hwy. 13 and Hwy. 93 I get poor and very soon no reception heading West toward Green Pond. It finally picks up on the other side of Green Pond around Hwy. 11.
