I had to yell at customer care for 2 hours for them to give me a micro tower so now I have signal at my house but no where else in cullman. Customer care keeps telling me that they have several towers put up they just arent turned on! What the crap then whats the point of having them!

I moved back to cullman with my family last year with 4 iPhones. Comming from a city with 3G we were thinking edge would not be too bad using wifi at home. We were mistaken. Boils down to AT&T as a big buessness does not invest anything in a small town due to profits are not high enough in the area. I receive no bars at home as well as edge does not work in a area they claim to cover. Tried to set up internet along the same situation and was told they do not have service in my neirborhood only a few miles from interstate. Ended up getting a basic home phone to have contact with rest of world. AT&T delights me again when I start getting tellamarketer call the next day cause AT&T sold my number out. After 15 years I am done with them! Oh wait they have me under contract so I am stuck! There is a new twist that can help u in cullman. If you have a smart phone. Use as much data usage as you can when u are out of network range. They will send u a letter saying your out of network use is too hight and your contract will be canceled. They gave to pay other providers when u use there towers for network. They will also offer you a free network tower to hook up to your home enternet to prevent the cost to them if u do not use wifi. Boils down to the dollar and we are stuck with big corporation having all the leverage.

Old US-31 / 10th St. intersection, Garden City, AL 35070 Mon Oct 25, 2010

There is just no reception hardly of Verizon Wireless in Garden City Alabama. 4 siblings (3 Verizon and 1 T-Mobile) and other people try to call our dad (age 71) to check on him and can not get through. He dials either of us and we hear probably every 2nd or 3rd syllable. His best chance of reception is to drive to Hanceville City Limits to talk. We can often reach him on Saturday morning (once a week) while he is having a breakfast in Hanceville or Cullman.
