Phone Model:
LG L1100
Yolo Bypass / Interstate 5 intersection, Woodland, CA 95695 Tue Jul 28, 2009

Every day, my calls are dropped as I cross over the Yolo Bypass as I travel on Interstate 5 near the Sacramento River. I warn my callers as I'm driving there that the call most likely will die. If I hold the phone high and chant a few ancient incantations, the connection remains, but the caller's voice goes silent until we cross over to civilization. It was OK until AT&T merged with a smaller carrier a few years ago, and I guess they turned off a tower or two nearby to save money. Carrier pigeon would be more reliable.

Doesn't work at all. Shows up to 3 bars until you try to make a call, then they go away. No incoming calls or messages either. I'm up on the ridge where it should work if there is a signal in the area.

Shorline Hwy. / Dolan intersection, Mill Valley, CA 94941 Tue Jul 28, 2009

Signal would vary from no bars to 5 bars. With no or one bar I didn't have service. AT&T said that they contract a tower and for that reason they cannot even report problem. I discontinued service.

Phone Model:
Apple iPhone 3GS
14th ST / Guerrero intersection, San Francisco, CA 94103 Mon Jul 27, 2009

the iPHONE 3GS has been a big disappointment. For all the money we pay per month it's not worth it. It drops calls all over the place especially at home in Emeryville. No reception. It switches between Edge and 3G while I'm in the same spot. ATT and APPLE owe us money back!

Had to return my iphone after 1 day as there was no reception at my house. Went back to Sprint and the Palm Pre which has a weak signal here but at least has some coverage.

Northwoods Blvd. / Hansel intersection, Truckee, CA 96161 Mon Jul 27, 2009

No service in back of house, service only holding phone over my head in one corner of the living room or in the driveway. Traffic and extreme weather make this difficult. Talked to AT&T - they don't seem to care.
