When I'm at home, the only consistent thing my phone does is say "No Service." I have to wait until I'm on the 101 to make a reliable call.

Verizon reception sucks here. Indoors I get 0-1 bar and 50% of my calls drop. Few times I was even roaming in my own house. Outdoors I get 1-2 bars and some cutout but probably only 25% dropped calls. I've used 3 different phones in the past 2 years and all have had the same issue with dropped calls. Friends who come over using T-Mobile do not seem to have these troubles. Verizon does have pretty good coverage throughout the city and no matter where I go (outdoors) I seem to get a strong signal where other carriers might vary. But its all pointless if I spend more time at home than on the go.

There is a dead spot on the 101 Freeway near the transition to highway 23 (Rancho exit). Calls are dropped 99% of the time.

I have had calls dropped at the junction of the 5 and 134 for three days straight. Sudden dead air. Cingular is horrible near Dodger Stadium on the 5 Freeway too

Never get reception inside the house. I have to take all my calls and go about 50 feet in front of house to get 1 bar. No reception in the backyard t all. when I get lucky and connect, the call is soon dropped. T-Mobile sucks in this area. There can be nothing worse!

I5 / US 97 intersection, Weed, CA 96094 Thu Aug 04, 2005

Seems like Sprint PCS won't touch anything north of Redding. Don't know if there's coverage in Klamath Falls or not, but there's not even coverage along I5 up that way.

Motorola V220
Van Nuys and Magnolia, Sherman Oaks, CA 91423 Thu Aug 04, 2005

Reception with AT&T was already bad, but the merger with Cingular made everything worse. One to two bars, several dropped calls daily. In this night alone, I experienced 5 dropped calls within 20 minutes, 2 of which were with the technical support reps at Cingular! I called to complain and was disconnected twice! They had to call me back themselves! HORRIBLE SERVICE. I find the reception is terrible throughout the Valley and Los Angeles: at the 405 near the Wilshire exits, along the 101 at Laurel Canyon exit, driving north on Woodman, driving north on Van Nuys. BUYER BEWARE. I can't wait to get out of this contract!

Sepulveda Near Mulholland, Sherman Oaks, CA 91403 Wed Aug 03, 2005

This is just one of the bad spots for VZW, coming down or going up Sepulveda from Mulholland or from Ventura Blvd. you lose signal a couple of times.
