I just called TMobile (Oct 31, 2010) and they told me they lost their roaming contract in here in Cambria and will let me out of my contract no problem.

Live on Beulah b / w Stanyan and Shrader. Is AT&T going to do something about this? If not, they are deplorable. We had to get land lines because we cannot make or receive calls in our apartment. Will pay whatever $$ fee there is to leave AT&T whenever a new carrier picks up iPhone.

there is NO T-Mobile reception 99.9% of the time I get an X, no bars. I've contacted them many times and they insist the service in this area is satisfactory, absolutely NOT true. I'm spending about $90 a month for nothing, zero and I was told that they 'might' build a tower in the future. SO I guess I'm giving them money for a 'build a tower' fund?~!

Sure, reception is good if you care to live on the roof! Incidentally, they consider coverage in this area "good" based on their coverage map but, in speaking with their reps, it turns out "good" in T-Mobile speak is equivalent to having coverage gaps (their words, not mine) with some locations having NO coverage. Two neighbors told me they switched from T-Mobile because they can't get coverage here. Yes, it's THAT bad.

No AT&T reception at all at Mississippi and Mariposa where I work. AT&T is useless, a real ripoff in San Francisco.

Main St., Cambria, CA 93428 Wed Oct 20, 2010

Absolutely NO T-Mobile service here anymore! I used to get fairly decent reception here in Cambria, at certain homes of friends, at my own home... . gone. Does not even go into 'roam' mode for an alternative carrier to kick in. NO Service. I was told Verizon put in a new tower here and it knocked out T-Mobile signals. People are angry. There is a little spot off Hwy. 1 heading into town at the Cambria exit to Main Street. If someone is desperate there is a signal right as you leave the highway if you park off the road. It's a T-Mobile signal so you can pick up all the voicemail that has collected from calls that never connected.
