Just moved here and had to change carriers. I had little to no reception with T-Mobile, talked to them about it and apparently this area is a 1-2 bar area so they let me out of my contract.
WHY oh WHY did I sign a 2 year contract with AT&T?? I want to throw this useless device through a window. Why on earth did Apple who are only based an hour away- sign with AT&T when they have the worst service in the city! I don't even get missed calls in my apartment, VM delays 24 hours, dropped calls every single time, and even standing out in the middle of the street I get 2 bars at best. DO NOT SIGN WITH AT&T, I should've stuck with Verizon!

Sometimes if I wander around in the back yard and get get a bead on the casino building I get 1 or 2 bars. Can usually send and receive text messages from front yard. Have to go 2-3 miles to pick-up voice mail or make a call.

My dtr, 12 yrs old, entered as a Freshman @TVHS. ATT store on Ynez had us upgrade phones and nothing. In addition, everytime one walks in they assure you that in 6 months a new tower is planned. Now from August 10, 2003 to and including: Friday, August 21, 2009 it is 6 years, 12 days since ATT / Cingular / ATT promised that a tower is going up. She's now 18 a UCLA Junior. My son started at the same high school, had Freshman orientation last week. Our family of 4 with (Black Jack II, Propel, Eternity in hand) lost each other and him on campus. It was traumatizing to say the least. It the same old same old. We're considering T-mobile, what do you think.

Call is fine and when you get to this intersection your call drops 99% of the time to the point that you either have to pull off or warn your caller that you will have to call back. Worst I have ever seen.
