God, has an ip4 and ip 3g for 4 years on AT&T. I have rang them continually over past 8 months telling them they have done nothing to improve the service in santa monica for 4 years. Screw them. They have had my premium money for 4 years now and done NOTHING to improve my experience. Thank god Sprint has the iPhone. I don't care if its not as fast, on average I can use my phone for 80% of the day. No joke. I even had to buy a micro cell tower to get reception in my room and they didn't even reimburse me. On average they give a measly 200 SMS messages which should be included in plan a la Sprint, I continually overrun this because I CAN NEVER USE THE DAMN PHONE. My advice, if in west LA, DO NOT GET AT AND T. Get sprint. Im moving. On average I get charged 50 bucks for overusing my SMS. for only 80 bucks on Sprint I can actually get to use my phone, with unlimited data and SMS. I WISH I HAD SEEN THIS WEBSITE BEFORE, BUT THEN AT AND T AHD A MONOPOLY ON THE IPHONE> NO MORE THANK GOD. THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING TO IMPORVE THE SERVUCE IN THE FOUR YEARS I HAVE BEEN WITH THEM.

Had AT&T cell service for 20+ years. Fine until about 3 years ago. Then service became unreliable. As of a few months ago, NO service here! Was told don't worry a new tower is being built. That date kept being pushed back. Now I find out, yes, the new tower was built, but on the other side of the mountain! I had been told by the store where I purchased they had given some type of "boosters" out to some people, but they had quit doing that the week before I called? I had called several time before that with no offer! Now it is a $200 investment! What a way to treat a long term customer!

I had another phone that worked pretty good but then I upgraded to a Samsung Flight. This phone and AT&T's customer service are terrible. The device will randomly lose reception and not search for a signal until I restart it. When I restart the phone it will have four bars and work great. So far AT&T has not been helpful and suggests I just buy a new phone and hope service is better with that device. I'll try T-Mobile instead.

ATT has massive outages across all of California and they don't know when service will resume. In general, I get one bar or less in my apartment.

I had full bars on Tmoble cell but NO reception other than emergency only use message on phone. Virizon users had usage. That was very peculiar!
