I have been a Cingular user along with eight family members. This week-end 19-20 Nov 06 has been terrible, in that no rep has given me what has been the problem but only to advise me that I have a problem with the TWO V180 phones in my household. Looking for answers!

Since the hurricanes, I have very displeased with our service. I can go out of town and Nextel works terrific. But, when I am at home and need to get in touch with my son, or husband, I have no signal or their voice is so jumbled that I cannot understand what they are saying.
When at home I have to keep my phone on roaming to get any chance of a signal. All other cell providers get a great signal. Sprint replaced my phone but the signal of course did not improve. I have about 4 towers within 2 miles of my apartment, does not matter. I miss a lot of calls. I have become the customer from Hell. Although it does have its advantages, I can always tell someone I didn't have my phone on roaming so I missed their call. It's pretty bad when you are calling Sprint and the call is dropped. It's funny how I was two miles OFF the coast and I had a full signal with no roaming. Things that make you think... .

Cannot get reception in my home / home office on Watrous Ave. near Bayshore. Friends with Verizon get it just fine here. Sprint people told me, "oh, well, sometimes you just can't get it everywhere." Been with Sprint 9 years, but must change as I run a business.
In the remote fishing village of Suwannee it is an event when one bar of reception occurs and my son in Jax and I are able to text message each other. Alltel analog bag phone being phased out at the end of 2006, though cumbersome and attached to my car antenna, was reliable except for a few miles on 349 So between home and Old Town. Cingular cell phone provides good reception around Old Town and Chiefland, though I'm not giving up my bell south land line phone and LD service anytime soon. Husband has been able to get momentarily adequate Cingular reception just offshore south of the Suwannee river. Still dreaming of a cell tower being built on the Suwannee water tower.
In my house I have virtually no reception unless I go outside to the lanai. When I am at worki, my phone beeps looking for a signal. Again no reception. I've called Sprint numeous times to no avail. Once my contract expires I won't be renewing it. I have 3 phones on our plan and it would cost me $450.00 to cancel. Sprint doen't really care to help.
