Cingular has gone down hill over the past 6 months. I never had a problem with the service but now I have NONE. It started with not receiving my phone calls. Out of no where the phone would say I had a message. THEN, it went to the text messages, they would show up the next day..same with the voice mail. The sad thing is, I have talked to quite a few people who have Cingular and they are having similiar issues. My friend lives right around the corner and we can't even call each other. First thing I did was talk to someone at a Cingular store and was told that it would get better within a week. That was in February. I called Cingular in April and complained that the issue was getting worse, they made me screw around with my phone and then told me it was fixed and I should have no more problems. Now it is June. I have ZERO service. I have called Cingular twice in the past week and I am told that it will be fixed by the 7th. Then some guy from Cingular calls my home (when I said I would not be home till after 6) and left me the nastiest message saying that if they can't get in touch with me they weren't going to fix the problem. I am without a phone and the people who work at Cingular are morons. The are rude and they do not help at all.
Used to get at least 3 bars in this area all the time. Now it's hit and miss. Yesterday signal strength read 3 bars, shot up to 5 briefly, then dropped to 0. Today it said 1 bar then 0. I am really hating Cingular.
No reception inside, poor reception outside. Have had ATT / Cingular for 4 yrs, and as of last month, I can get NO signal inside of my house. What's the change? Cingular says they are upgrading their systems, what ever that means. It's been over 1 month with out service. I have threatened to leave and they credited 1 week of service. How much business did I lose from not being able to get calls? Probably a lot. Boycott Cingular.
I have T-Mobile. This site shows three towers near here. As a matter of fact, I can see two of them from outside my house! I have NO reception on my phone, and must travel 3 miles toward US19 to get any signal at all.
Having many problems with reception in All areas of Pensacola. Especially West Florida Hospitial (only 2 blocks away from an Sprint tower). Missed many important calls. Had to use a phone from another carrier to make an important call. Sprint will NO LONGER have my business, as quick soon as I can get out of this contract !
We switched over from an old A.T.&T. plan. Cingular assured us that we could get excellent recepetion. We haven't been able to get one bar since we got the phone. They keep calling on our land line and saying they are working on reception. I like the cell phone they gave us but am sending it back today. Before you select a celluar phone plan, check the reception area. As far as I can tell, the area south of Citra, northeast of Ocala and east of the four lane is a dead zone.
My Motorola says it has 4 to 5 bars, but then whenever I try to call someone, 9 of 10 times the phone replies "Network Unavailable" or "Network Busy" because Cingular's messing around with their towers or whatever. This started a month ago (ironically, almost in sync with their "fewest dropped calls" commercials), and most reps say it'll be 2 to 3 more months until its fixed. That's horrible. I guess you can't drop a call if you can't make one. Cingular: raising the bar (so we can hit you where it hurts)
