Nextel coverage in the 34997 zip code area is horrible! If it wasn't a company phone I'd drop Nextel's service in a heartbeat. TRULY at terrible carrier and even customer service tells me their is poor service in this area but, offers no resolution.

Reception is horrible. 99.9% of my calls are dropped. My home is a dead zone. All streets leading to my home are dead zones! I'm thinking of switching to Cingular with my husband. He seems to be able to talk any and everywhere.
I could just about comment on everywhere I dont have service--and its a lot... nextel does not want to fix the problem, only tell me they will send someone out to evaluate it... idiots and poor with customer satisfaction... .no service from the "s" curves going north on 559 until you reach I-4... .crappy service and crappy customer service... if I wasnt a nascar fan before Nextel took over I would quit watching!
I LOVE Metro PCS! I can only get signal on top roof of my house or if I drive out to a big intersection but for how cheap it is WHO CARES! I love my 34.99 Unlimited Plan... Who needs real coverage Everywhere? NOT ME!
My cell phone is useless in the house and useless until I walk out into the middle of the street, at which point I can SOMETIMES get a weak signal. Apparently, there are problems with reception all along this street, as it's common to see neighbors walking around outside talking on their wireless phones. I rented a place three minutes from here before I bought this house and reception was fine there. Go figure. I'm in the middle of St. Petersburg, FL and I can't use my cell phone. What's more, Verizon doesn't seem to give a flying f--k. My contract is up in December and I am outta here. Will make sure I don't sign on for the long haul with any other carrier until I'm sure I can use my freakin' phone at home.
Alltel is the only 'land line' service for Interlachen - you would think they would serve this area with cell phone service. When asked, they don't plan to improve / add towers to this 4-lane divided highway area. Its NOT worth it. Go with AT&T.
annoying having visted Verizon service for 4 times and no results. told me I needed a new battery, bought the battery, no service. told I needed new software, did it and no results. seems Verizon forget this part of florida or the phone just stinks
When we had AT&T Wireles, we had no signal at all. We changed to Cingular and we had a signal. At last we could use our cell phones for work(oddly enough, we are both AT&T employees). That was October, 2004. Now in July, 2005, we have to drive to Panama City to see who left us voice mail. No bars at all! Nada. Nothing. Did the nearest tower walk away? Did the last tech up the tower lose their balance, grab a brace, and tilt the antenna? Seriously, we're upset. The calls to Cingular have produced nothing. We've talked to the customer reps and the network guys and no one know a thing. I guess taking THEIR cell phone and driving to here is too complicated a concept. It was suggested several times that I get a separate cell phone service for when I am in the Florida panhandle. Yup, that makes sense. Do I get the Batman Utility Belt in this deal? I thought a cell phone was a MOBILE PHONE.

I cannot make or receive calls with T-Mobile around my area. My wife has a Samsumg and it is the same deal. I called T-Mobile and they told me they did not have a tower around the area so that explains it. Really need to get a phone that works around here but not sure what service or phone would be best. Any ideas?
