This is my first expereince with Nextel. What a waste of money. I have never experienced reception as bad as I have with Nextel. The City provides me a work cell phone, but it has proven to be pretty worthless. I carry a Verizon phone to assure reception. It is not uncommon that I receive my Nextel voicemail three or four days after they are left for me. If you don't like receiving cellular calls, Nextel is the one for you.

What in the heck is going on, Verizon is expensive and gives good services, but T-Mobile give better deals and no reception. What are we to do.

we have to walk out of my home and to the street if I want to get any bars. then I get 3 at the max if the weather is OK. as much as the northside of Jax is growing you would think they would invest in more towers. calls are always dropped when driving on Lem Turner between i-295 and callahan. wouldn't recommend T-Mobile to anyone in this area.

Have lousey reception- which is a major problem since my cell phone is an important part of my business. Am thinking that it will be worth the $400 penalty for my husband's and my phone to get out of the contract.

I've had Nextel for a few years now and at first it was great but it seems that since the fall of 2004 it has slide downward to awful. Now not only do I experience "NO SERVICE" all around town but I've been dropping calls all over town too and it's never in the same spot from week to week except near my home northwest of pritchard, where I'm lucky if I can make a call and luckier if I can finish the call before I get dropped.

Frequently no reception, when I'm able to get it at all it's very poor and intermittent when inside a residence.

Live in the Waterlesf subdivision, Atlantic and Kernan. No bar inside the house, but usually enough to send a text. Walking outside is a little better. Has been this way since I first tried to switch to Verizon from AT&T in 2009. My household uses AT&t and T-Mobile service where we have no dead spots inside the house. Hopefully, Verizon puts up another tower soon.

Nextel is the worst in Jacksonville. I just moved here from Gainesville with my Nextel phone and I rarely get reception at work, or driving anywhere. The worst thing is I can't get reception at home. Also, nothing is more frustrating then trying to talk to someone on direct connect when you can 't get a signal. All you get is that annoying beep when it doesn't go through.

I always drop calls at this intersection. Coverage around the rest of Jacksonville is good for the most part.
