Emergency Calls only in city of Lafayette and most of Walker County.

rarely do I get reception. We don't have a phone in the house and in case of an emergency I can't get help with this phone.

My phone works a mile down the road! I am trying to find a cell phone company that has coverage. My family members have Verizon and it works much better! I am going to borrow one of their phones and bring it to my house to see if it works. If it does I am switching! It stinks to have to pay 100.00 or more for phones that will not even work... even though AT&T advertises BEST COVERAGE! NOT!

There ia a cell tower on West Price Rd which connects the two roads that I added above and has 3 service antenna on it but none of the services are ATT or Verizon. They are T-Mobile, Nextel and Metro PCS Come on ATT and Verizon get your act together and service this area.

My wife and I moved into a new subdivision off of W. Ridgeway Rd., near Mangum Bridge about a year ago. I checked the T-Mobile site, to see how reception would be. According to their site, we should have Fair to Good reception. Guess what! We are lucky if we can even get a single bar in our own house! More often than not, calls go straight to VM... . Elsewhere, coverage ranges from Excellent to Poor... I was told it was because I was using an older phone, and that when I upgrade to a new Smart / Web phone, my reception will be greatly improved. I am really more angry at myself for continuing to pay T-Mobile for what is basically NOTHING. But, I am wondering, since I do want to get a Web phone for my wife, do they really get better reception than older models; all else being equal?

Verizon did not notify its customers of the Alltel conversion. Verizon phones in this area, even sitting underneath the tower or towers, or a 1 / 2 mile away DO NOT work.Several trouble tckts have been put in. Did not respond to me. Their OWN Tech Rep on May 19, 2009 could not hear me. (Store managaer from Valdosta store) Was to call me back,never got call, most likely as the call would not go thru.Spoke with several other Verizon users in Valdosta, phone does not work in the middle of the city or under a tower, OBVIOUSLY not the MOST reliable network - false advertising. Put in 2 trouble tickets, they did not give me an answer. Closed the tckt said resolved? How? That is not a unilateral contract? It’s a bilateral. You didn't call me the customer? Today, they finally admitted the service and conversion would not be working until the end of the year. When were you going to tell me? Were you going to defraud me all year? Over your non-performance of a contract ?Apparently. This is the most unreliable network. Please note my Virgin Mobile phone works fine on same tower. PLEASE note I have witnesses to these conversations while speaking with no-TECH support.

No service at all, Virgin Mobile sucks! Period.
