Magnolia Subdivision / Rivertown Rd. intersection, Fairburn, GA 30213
Thu Apr 13, 2006
After enjoying perfect reception in the Riverdale area for many years, it all came to an end when I moved to South Fulton / Fairburn. About a quarter of a mile to my subdivision my signal drop slap out of sight. I can't receive a signal inside or outside my house. Nonna. I've called Cingular about this problems many times, and they offer me no hope of rectifying. After surveying the community, Verizon and T-Mobile seem to be the only service that works. I'm disappointed.
Briarcliff Rd. / Chrysler Dr. intersection, Atlanta, GA 30345
Wed Apr 12, 2006
Nearly the entire length of Briarcliff Rd.between North Druid Hills Rd.and Northlake Mall is extremely weak. Signal strength fluctuates between 1-bar and 'No Service'. Verizon Wireless performed a signal test along this stretch of Briarcliff in November 2005 and confirmed the signal is poor, but they said they had no plans to upgrade signal towers in this area.
Lindbergh Dr. / I-85 HOV Access Rd. intersection, Atlanta, GA 30305

I am driving West toward Piedmont and as soon as I leave the neighborhood and just prior to reaching the I-85 HOV Access Road, the signal ALWAYS drops!
Scott Blvd. / Near Where It Splits From Ponce De Leon intersection, Decatur, GA 30030
Sat Apr 01, 2006
I back out of my street (Pinetree Drive, a little less than 1 mile from Decatur 's Square), and things are 1 - 2+ in terms of reception. I get to the intersection with Scott, and it just ain't happening. This was not the case when I had Cingular, altho the quality was generally 1 - 3. Have to travel up / down Scott before I can get anything. Doing business out of the house is pretty hinchy if it's by the mobile. Sucks, I but doubt the neighborhood wants another nearby tower. You'd think that with transmitters atop Stone Mountain and the Georgia Pacific building (both rooms carry signs bewaring you of intense and unhealthy electromgnetic radiation, advising protective suits if you have to work in there--my employer hastwo-way radio equipment there, and I have to enter from time to time) that this wouldn't be an issue, given the coverage spread. Oh well. (BTW, GPTV transmitts from Stone Mountain too, as do several other outfits. There really is competition for space at both locations, given the great coverage they provide)
HWY 15 NORTH / FROM RIVER BRIDGE ALL THE WAY TO WA, Greensboro, GA 30642
Fri Mar 24, 2006
THIS IS A VERY BUSY HWY. FROM GREENSBORO TO ATHENS ( UGA) NO RECEPTION AT ALL..WHY??? WHERE ARE THE CINGULAR TOWERS ??? THERE IS ALSO NO RECEPTION IN PARTS OF UNION POINT,MILLEDGEVILLE,WHITE PLAINS, SILOAM,... I COULD GO ON AND ON... WAKE UP CINGULAR... I KNOW OF SO MANY PEOPLE THAT ARE SWAPPING TO VERIZON HERE BECAUSE OF THIS.
I love Nextel in my work at Valdosta, Georgia, but I live in south Brooks County and can not get a signal except standing in my pasture across the road. Then its usually one bar. I have offered my land for a tower, but they replied they do not accept land offers anymore. Too Bad! Guess its time to check Cingular. Tower is a mile away.
Browntown Rd.& Oakhill Church Rd., Kingsland, GA 31548

This is horrible reception. No signal up to 4 miles from home in the car. switched from Verizon to Alltel to have walkie talkie for work having second thoughts.
