Hwy. 54 and Oak Ridge, Fayetteville, GA 30214 Wed Aug 16, 2006

I am very happy with Verrizon UNTIL I enter my Subdivision. The signal goes down to one bar, but once I enter my house I loose all reception. Im guessing its the cheap LG phone I got with my contract. Im willing to buy a better phone but Im worried about spending the money for a good phone and possibly having the same problem.

Freaking AWFUL coverage out here, even though the tower shows as being off Old Hwy. 85. Lucky to get 1 or 2 bars here if at ALL, and coverage is even spotty in downtown Fayetteville. Stuck under contract, tried several different phones, nothing explains why coverage sucks!

Unable to use phone in home. No reception - dropped calls. Complained to Cingular and they basically said "Oh well". Easy for them to say since I'm committed to a 2 year contract. According to the tower map - there is one very close by to me, so I really don't understand the problem. We do live across from the FAA Building and I wonder if their transmissions can effect my reception. If so - then I'm truly at a loss. Don't want to go from carrier to carrier in order to see if one will work for me. Cingular is terrible in other areas too. There's a dead spot on 19&41 near the intersection of Hwy. 81. This is just north of the motor speedway. Signal drops like clock work.

This sevrice, if that is what you want to cell it sucks I cant believe that they tell you oh you will have great service. That is a big joke.If I get service its because I went outside and have to hope that it isnt going to rain that day I might as well get on the roof. We have 4 phones so all of us would look stupid on the roof joke was on us the day I signed that contract.

Something is wrong here. I have o bars like all the time. sometimes outside the home I have one or two bars. I contacted my carrier and they told me their is nothing they can do for me. I just got my cell phone and I cant use it period. I wanted this phone in replace of my home phone and now I cant use it. what do I do? I dont travel much outside of jonesboro and their is o reception here. when I go to morrow or fayetteville I have a little reception but not much. I hope Cingular sees this message and starts doing something about us here in jonesboro, we need more towers please. were not paying for service for nothing. Thanks Mobledia for letting me input my thoughts and maybe with many requests something will be done for us here in Jonesboro not getting much reception.

Tommie Rd., Lagrange, GA 30240 Fri Dec 26, 2008

I will be so glad when additional cell towers are added to my area, as I currently have extremely poor to absolutely no reception. I live on Tommie Rd, halfway between Bartley Rd and Baughs Cross Rd, and refer to this area as "cellular no man's land". I have NEVER had a single bar of reception when making or receiving calls from my home. Before purchasing my first cell phone in 2003, I obtained loaner phones from every cell provider in LaGrange to test them for reception here at home, but not one of them ever registered a single bar! I researched phones on the Internet for those touted to have the best reception, and finally chose the Motorola i850. It does great in most other areas around town, but is virtually useless most of the time here at home. I need the cell when away from home, so I feel forced to pay for a service that I cannot use a great deal of the time. In addition, I am unable to reduce my costs by removing my land line or even by removing the long distance coverage from that line. On the rare occasion that I am able to get a signal at all, I am forced to move about the house or yard in an effort to get a stronger signal, and greater than 20% of my calls are dropped completely. I don't feel this is a phone problem, rather it's a signal problem. When I see the multiple towers in the intown area, I feel cheated that no attention is paid to those of us who live in rural areas of LaGrange. Hoping for a better future, Rhonda Colemon

Driving home, sometimes an active call will maintain reception to the above intersection, then drop out, but there is no signal and no calls can be made or received within about a 1 mile radius. ATT, Sprint, Nextel all have the same issue, don't know about Verizon or T-Mobile.
