Ponce de Leon / Commerce Dr. intersection, Decatur, GA 30030 Thu Sep 16, 2004

I just bought a house in downtown Decatur and it has NO reception for any cell phones. I use AT&T, but friends use T-Mobile and it is just as bad. Even outdoors, it is terrible. It appears to be a dead zone.

Little or no reception in Apartment. Only one bar to two in bedroom, other rooms no bar have to use bluetooth for calls. However I can only get a decent signal at the intersection of Mountain Dr. and Covington Hwy. Reported it to T-Mobile was told they would check and call me back, still waiting since a year ago, eventually had to get comcast digital to cover for emergencys can't rely on cell phone Otherwise its ok from there on.

AT&T has gotten MUCH worse. Cingular was good, but now their AT&T. NO reception now at my home, my office. or in between these two places in Decatur, GA. Also NO reception on I285W from Lawrenceville Hwy. to Chamblee Tucker (4 miles!) I drive around town, in an urban metro area, looking for signals! It's pathetic, it's criminal... Ma Bell is back!

As you drive past Narvie Harris Elematary school the reception drops completly every time. This dead zone extends up to 1 / 2 mile as you cross the south river bridge on Flakesmill road.

Norris Lake / Lake Dr. intersection, Snellville, GA 30039 Wed Dec 21, 2005

Reception in our home at Norris Lake has been ZERO since beginning service with Cingular in Sept 2003 which precludes emergency contact should the land line fail. My children visit with their Verizon coverage and have no difficulty. We use our cellfone primarily for travel; it is seldom on in the Atlanta area. Away from home reception has been generally good to include such locations as Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. We are considering a switch to Verizon to insure home coverage.

T-mobile does not have any reception and have called T-Mobile several times, but no solution. if I have to cancel my service, they have $ 200 termination fee... worst customer service ever... Do not go with T-mobile...
