If you happen to get reception you are roaming. Very difficult to use a Sprint phone while in the park.

T-mobile is terrible on the Big Island of Hawaii. Do not get them because nothing works here and I am using their latest "flagship" phone. I am very dissapointed. I have been with them for 7 years and signed back on for another two when I moved to Hawaii but no signal and they are trying to make me pay the cancellation fee and for the rest of the phone. They are definitely not worth it.

This phone was sold to a 9yr old. If we cannot resolve this issue I expect the full refund. Otherwise I do plan to take this to the Papers and Media! Frustrated Parent!

It SAYS that I have connection but whenever I try to call out, It says "call failed." Like, wth?! SO IRRITATING. I do not pay 50 bucks a month for it to do this! Does anyone know what is going on?! Ughhhh. >.< I can't believe this. Grrrrr. Is T-Mobile down right now? If so, When will it be back up?!

I had alot of dropped calls and for some unknown reason people complained they could not call me. After T-Mobile heard my screams for the 100th time a friend discovered that my pre-fix 989 was in Hilo, of the big island. Finally I got it changed to a 808-258 number and all was great. Now I am back from the Mainland and I was given a 203 prefix. In checking it sure its a Honolulu Prefix thru a Time Warner Holding company and is listed as a Landline. So when I call them shortly and tell them to change it again I will raise cane! For Honolulu I would stick to 218, 255, 258, 358, 381, 382, 383, 384, 386, just to name a few. #1 make sure it is correct island, #2 make sure it is a T-Mobile prefix not a holding company. and #3 make sure it is a cell prefix not land line. TO BE CONTINUED...

Waipio Rd. / Upper Cane Haul intersection, Honokaa, HI 96727 Sun Sep 26, 2010

We have older (don't laugh 5 year old Motorola Contractor Phones) that provide absolutely no service on this road until we are near downtown Honokaa. We know people are getting reception as we see them talking on their cells while driving past our house, (even though it is illegal now to use your phone while driving) What I want to know is WHAT PHONE and WHAT SERVICE do they have. We currently have Sprint and they made big promises as to coverage. All Lies of course. WE are now out of contract and can move on anywhere. I hear that GSM phones are the best. Any help from those people yakking on their phones as they drive by would be GREAT! It must be a combination of the phone and the service allowing them to smile and laugh as they pass by us in our dead zone!

I have to stand at the corner of my house, face east until I get 1 bar and then MAYBE I can send off a text message. Voice calls are frustrating with it cutting in and out.
