I was on the Big Island this weekend visiting family and most of the time, there was no signal. Then when I did get a signal and make a call, I get disconnected. Then I had to stand outside of the house and point the phone in different directions to see where I can get the best signal. I gave up! I ended up turning off the phone and turned it back on when I got to Keaau.

It never fails. Everytime I drive through Punchbowl I always lose reception. I have numerously complained about the poor reception in the area, yet nothing has been done about it. Whenever I enter the area now and am on the phone I pull my car over in fear Ill lose the call.

No reception at all! When ever I'm on the H1 freeway while on the phone, I have to warm my callers that I'm in a low reception area. This also goes for Nextel, T-Mobile and AT&T. I'm not sure what else carriers have this problem there.

Since December 29, 2004 have experienced a heavy volume of dropped calls. Made a trouble ticket with Nextel and someone from Hawaii called me and said that they would re-tune their system. Guess the re-tuned the wrong way because now I have no service where I am.

Terrible reception with Verizon Wireless in Kahana, HI. Zip code 96761. Two different T-mibile phones inside my house had 5 bars while I had none and couldn't rec/make calls. Talked to Verizon late December 2004 said it is because in Kapalua and Honokawai there are cells, but they are both around 2.5 miles away from Kahana. They said there are plans to upgrade the area soon, but who knows. I will probably have to cancel VZW service because of this.
VZW works great everywhere else. Even in elevators and underground parking garages in HNL. I am so bummed that I am in a dead zone. I have to walk outside, across the street almost to the ocean to get decent reception. Up the street, less than a block away I get 5 bars, near Roy's Kahana. Dude...

My husband and I kept on thinking that it was the phone that gave us no reception in that area so we changed our phones. Now we are finding out that there is no coverage in that area at all and it wasn't our phones. So when will you solve the problem with no coverage in that area?
