No coverage along Hwy. 36 between Preston, ID and Montpelier, ID. Hopefully you won't hit a deer or break down because Verizon Wireless doesn't work anywhere...
I never have service with Edge Wireless. Even though there plans are cheaper listen to me you wont gett service anywhere or you will only get 1 bar at the most. It hasnt improved at all for as long as I have had my phone. I dont have service with any of my phones, I have had 9 in the past year and it hasnt helped at all
We have had mulitiple problems with Verizon coverage in Riggins. Now it won't work at all. The clerk at The City of Riggins office told me that Alltel is the only service that covers this area now.
I use to have another phone that worked in Riggins Idaho, I think it was an Audiovox, but then I went to McCall and *228 to update the phone and when I returned to Riggins I had no service? With the exact same phone that did work prior to updating the software. Called Verizon support and they couldn't help me. My new Razor V3c does not work in Riggins either while a friends newer Razor does work great in Riggins. He did make sure that when he purchased the new phone they did not change a single thing about his calling plan that is like 2-3 years old now. I beleive the cell tower in Riggins had an agreement with Verizon but it fell through one day so when you update your phone it will not work anymore? Oh yes you do have to change the option in system from automatic B to automatic A for most phones to work in Riggins.
We were assured by Verizon that our new phones would work here. They don't! Other Verizon users in the area seem to receive reception on their phones. What gives?
A pathetic investment. An expensive lesson. Advised I live in a "geographically challenged" dead zone. Offered no alternatives whatsoever. Would not recommend this service to anyone.
