No cell service south of Apple River, IL.

Inside my condo I get no reception. I live right across from the EL too. I'm sure that has something to do with it, however, whenever I'm on the train, reception is great! Go figure. Anyone else have trouble??

Alltell bought First Celluar. If you have a gsm your screwed! Customer service sucks.(very rude) I have talked to customer service and they admit if you have a gsm phone you have to start all over with a new contract to get better service. The wont let you switch back to digital using a old phone. Has to be a new alltell phone. I have honored my part of the contract I wish they would honor theirs! I have spoken to numerous customers that feel the same way I do!!

In my home (first floor of a 6-flat) I have gotten no reception at all for weeks at a time. When I do get reception it is very poor. *Lots* of dropped calls.

I'm dead anywhere clost to my job in the west loop. Don't get me wrong, I hate my LG C1500, but it seems to work elsewhere in the city.

This area, 61109 zip code is in the original Verizon land line territory but has no reception for any service of phone south of the hill on 11th st by New Milford school rd. Our cell phones are useless at home.

Verizon has been terrible in this area, the phone works away from here, but nothing close to home. It would be easier to get in touch with them if I threw the phone at them. I called repeatedly and then finally they said that they would send someone out to check and see if they could duplicate the problem. Believe it or not they said that I live in a 'marginal' area, if marginal means zero, then that's right. They then suggested that I upgrade my phone and I told them that I couldn't justify spending money on something with no service. Then they said that they would turn the tower toward my house to improve the reception, which I didn't buy and then he said that they were going to put in a new tower near my house and I asked when and he said that he didn't know. It finally ended up that they let me out of the contract with no early charge. Now I just have to find someone with service here.

I am getting good bars of reception indicated, but have been having a problem all afternoon where I try to make a call, and I just get an error back saying "call failed" this has been all throughtout th Oakland, Arcola, and Tuscola Illinois area this afternoon. Never had any problems before, but this is a real pain.

I have been with Cingular for years, but the last 2 months My ability to cal and receive calls has been horrific ! I have called them several times and keep getting the excuse they are upgrading, well today I upgraded and cancelled my contract ! I wont pay for service not provided

Cingular does not work in basements here. Verizon and Sprint have one bar in the basement, good enough for a call.
